I can tell you 500+ to 600+ is only true in perfect driving condition...
normal usage.. 400-450km per tank is the real figure.. 6 years Vios user experience.... it can hit near to 600 when u drive all the way highway only... |

QUOTE(vreis @ Jul 13 2011, 12:48 PM) You mean FL 07 or pre FL05? thanks for ur concern bro... Mine 05 changed to Pioneer cos those time Toyota gave cassette type Since mine E, it comes with a plastic to cover the hole which G don't have as its double DIN type originally. So have to source for that plastic cover. BTW, the head unit wont be able to accommodate the frame of the head unit, so it wont looks good. How much they quote u in SC for ori? Last time I was quoted local ori at RM170/pair & import Ori at 270/pair I didn't know Toyota SC have 2 kinds of ori brake pad So end up get from outside. this is the result... with the surrounding bracket... without the bracket also look pretty good... done it by myself.. ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us |

QUOTE(vreis @ Jul 13 2011, 05:57 PM) urs looked better than mine. Mine is DEH5750. the sides are silver, so without the frame, it looks ugle ya.. I know.. older version installed seem uglier ...Added on July 13, 2011, 5:58 pm Problem is Toyota SC themselves are having 2 type of originals this 8 series even without the surround bracket are still look nice coz the back is still black colour... |

QUOTE(SimonsayZ @ Jul 14 2011, 02:44 PM) LoL, Im also using this HU. I was dissapointed that the cover couldnt fit in and thought it looked funny...But after sometime, i got use to it and think it looked OK. Mind sharing how you manage to fit the cover in? first of all.. the lower "drawer" box have 2 "pin" on top to hold the old player.. with new player.. the 2 pin will sort of pushing the player leave 1 line between the player and drawer.. user cutter to cut this 2 pin so there is no line/gap between the player and drawer.... install as usual... force the bottom of the cover to let the player and drawer holding the many small pins of the cover.. the above part of the cover... u can't do anything.. the left and right side simply not hold coz the center part are curve out.. 1 solution.. double side tape for left n right.. I do think without cover also look ok since all black... |

I always drive till blink only pump n I always pump > rm70.. most of the time rm75.... that should be beyond 36L.... lucky 1km away got petrol station and its not that late, able to buy a tong, refill and pour into my car slowly drive to the station then pump full... what's more the full is only 36l?! should have 6l reserved, then why car shutdown? after that scared already, once last bar, i'll straight got pump my old vios... QUOTE(sleepy @ Sep 19 2011, 12:03 PM) hi guys, anyone know how to remove the center console for the 1st gen vios? the meter cluster is a bit loose and rattling, so im trying to open up the center console and see if i can tighten it. I know coz I change my player myself... Added on September 24, 2011, 10:22 am QUOTE(ecneret @ Sep 24 2011, 01:04 AM) any Vios 2004 owner here? it is...can help to confirm whether the remote control unit's battery is CR2032? Thanks! Added on September 24, 2011, 10:26 am QUOTE(dstl1128 @ Sep 22 2011, 07:33 AM) Mine is 1st batch Dugong no remote trunk. So far no problem pulling from driver side or using a key. U get the impression of "TOYOTA" wrong dy esp VIOS...Btw, so far I have identified 3 bearings malfunction and noisy. It is 4yrs already and I've just replace one (rear right) costing me rm500 (with labour). I'm thinking the both front would be around 1k if unlucky. WTF my old Toyota 15yrs+ and another one 20yrs also no such problem. If that the case is the Vios that high maintenance (no longer a Toyota trait)? Cars like MyVi even if every 4yrs bearing change, each around rm150 - Vios bearing cost 3 times more than MyVi. I'm thinking of downgrading... VIOS are design to be a cost saving car.. so, everything here and there cut.. cut... and cut.... It is a small car and kind of similar catagory like MyVi too.. anyway, my bearing change 1 year+ ago.. that time my car was about 5 years dy... only the front.. QUOTE(vios2002 @ Sep 22 2011, 10:09 PM) the photo look photochop.. esp the girl's face....This post has been edited by BuFung: Sep 24 2011, 10:26 AM |

QUOTE(kazami @ Sep 24 2011, 10:27 AM) u went back to toyota or u did it outside? should be the same.. anyway when u change.. it is better to change left n right 1 pair.. not just only 1 site...mine also bearing problem on the rear side. sound from right. dont know whether the bearing for left and right (both rear) r the same or different? Added on September 24, 2011, 10:29 amP/S : rear bearing are much more expansive than front.. This post has been edited by BuFung: Sep 24 2011, 10:29 AM |
