Yea actually I did try to do some research and try to shortlist some brake pads, I found that Bendix is also not bad but a lot of feedbacks that it is bad for the rotors in the future. Some are dusty while some when braking, there's some sort of sound or something like that.

So this is why I'm trying to look for the brand that manufactures the Toyota brake pads for Vios. What I like about the ori one is that it is actually quite quiet (based on my experience) and can hardly see any brake dusts (unless didn't bring the car for washing for a very long time). Braking power is decent enough for my driving style.

that day just done servicing include changing brake pads and aircond cost rm600++

*Update : i did say rear tyre got some humming sound.. turns out to be rear tyre bearing spoil d.. go to TOYOTA SC ask for quotation... rm1200 alone for 1 bearing.. zz.. mum saw so expensive.. then Technician there said.. outside probably cheaper.. so we went outside to fix it..

in the end.. fix at dad's fren shop.. rm360... ROFL... Toyota potong kepala... LOL..

Mine is 1st batch Dugong no remote trunk. So far no problem pulling from driver side or using a key.
Btw, so far I have identified 3 bearings malfunction and noisy. It is 4yrs already and I've just replace one (rear right) costing me rm500 (with labour). I'm thinking the both front would be around 1k if unlucky. WTF my old Toyota 15yrs+ and another one 20yrs also no such problem.

If that the case is the Vios that high maintenance (no longer a Toyota trait)? Cars like MyVi even if every 4yrs bearing change, each around rm150 - Vios bearing cost 3 times more than MyVi.

I'm thinking of downgrading...

should be the same..  anyway when u change.. it is better to change left n right 1 pair.. not just only 1 site...

mine RR wheel bearing hub(G-spec /w ABS) just changed last week.
Toyota quote me RM1300. Outside shop i change RM400

guys, what sort of noise and under what circumstances will a bearing start making noise?

Ya very strong humming/abnormal noise if move at 80kph and above

My car already out warranty so no need go back SC to replace parts.
The price is JB price since I'm from JB.

The shop tat quote me (incl labour)
1) ori Toyota RM700
2) oem made in japan RM400
3) made in china RM150

it takes approx 1 hour to install

Usually, front 1 will out first coz heavier load in front...

in the end i choose the reasonable one la RM400.

48k km already need a new bearing? My car clock @138k km...rr bearing still original...

The bearing worn out will not cause any issue to u except it will start getting noisy.. Why so worry to change it?
