yesterday my SA called my father(im engaged), he said my car already sent to their branch, and my father saw it. he said because of custom system down, so he cant register for me. im wondering, the car not suppose to send to custom before it reach to branch? y it is do by branch but not toyota factory? he said if custom computer works smooth today, i can get my car by afternoon.

I found up that the speedometer and rpm meter didn't light up during daytime driving when no headlamp ON. ( It lights up when headlamp is ON)..

Just want to clarify, this is normal or it suppose to light up even no Headlamp is ON? I feel hardly read the speedometer without light up during daytime....

hehe, i didn't notice much but looks like the speedometer lit up during the day.

Maybe there is a sensor to tell whether it's day or nite.

your vios is TRD ?

i heard TRD speedometer is Optitron meter which will lit or light up during day or night

Mine is G spec.
I prefer G due to it's combi leather seat. TRD just have fabric which i think is overpriced due to the suspension and bodykit.

finally i got my car! Vios E spec, but once i sit in the car and plan to leave, it was raining...

lol. more and more people driving vios~~

Not sure about E spec but I'm sure TRD is lighting up no matter day or night.

just to share my vios fc..now about 13k km..doing 0.14sen/km(mix town n hway) using ron 95 1.90/l

mine is E spec, the speedometer and rpm is not light up, only light up on odometer.

btw, i would like to know, is it the cd player cant play the mp3 files in folder? i burned 2 cd, one is in the folders by chinese and english, another cd is without folder, but i only can play the mp3 cd without folder, why? but on the cd player, got the button of 'folder - up and down'?

i would like to ask you guys problem that i encounter and need to check with you guys before i went to SC

1. wind noise. it's noticeable now since this car had clocked 13k+ km.. may i know what's the causing the issue and how to persuade SC to change part to overcome this situation?

2. aircond not cold enough. at first i thought this is due to long term of parking under direct sunlight, but then when i drive one of my friend's myvi, found out that his aircond is super cold! maybe i need to topup aircond gas?

I face exactly same problems as you mentioned above.

1. wind noise is noticeable especially I drive above 100km/h. I have no idea to reduce wind noise. Maybe type of tyre?

2. aircond is not cold enough compared to national car - I think most of vios owners face this problem because this type of car is build for better FC.

I pumped RON97 petrol 2 days ago. I can feel significant power gained in RON97 compared to RON95. However, it's more expensive IMO, I might change to RON95

I don't think we can solve the wind noise issue, I install sound proof material in KL Auto. I can only said significantly reduce but can't remove it.

RON 97 will give more power and reduce engine noise but too expensive for me, I am looking for other alternative to reduce engine noise,

Any idea ?

Some VIOS owners in this club claim that they have better FC in RON97. It doesn't work in my car.

My car is still new below 1 years old, guess ur car same as well, so hardening of rubber shouldn't happen,
i guess vios build and design quality not so good, that why create wind noise when above 100km/h

heard that new vios will be released in 2011. How true is this?

Just got my car tinted this afternoon.
Plan to tint 3M at first but later decided to go with V-Kool and Solar Gard. Cost RM1500.

that can't be helped much, apparently it affects lots of car as well. they need to sell at affordable price, hence the lower grade quality. but it's acceptable as compare to proton/perodua quality, no offence

speedometer and rpm meter as mentioned are actually not lighten up and low head lamp need to on first.

but as for sportivo version (or S version before) it comes with optitron meter, it will lighten up and looks really cool!

i have change my meter to optitron meter and really cool! it also comes with multi info display which will show u fuel consumption, average km/h, real time km/h, real time fuel consumption and also distance to empty.
