Maurizio Zamparini continues to increase Pastore's price following his goal in the Coppa Italia against Milan
By Salvatore Landolina
Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini will use any excuse to command extra income from a Javier Pastore sale, claiming his fee is now over €60 million, 24 hours after suggesting €40m was not enough.
The 21-year-old Argentinian playmaker was in sensational form against AC Milan in Wednesday 2-2 Coppa Italia semi-final, first-leg draw at San Siro.
He scored and then helped created Abel Hernandez's strike for the second. Before the game Zamparini had said between €40m and €50m would not be enough to sign the Real Madrid and Barcelona target.
Now he has said it will take more than €60m as he aims to generate a higher fee.
"Pastore is worth from €60m going upwards," Zamparini told Radio Radio.
He then issued sage advice to players by telling them they could have done more to secure a win at San Siro.
"We still have to learn how to manage a game when we are in the lead," he added.
"But I believe we can make the Coppa Italia final."
Palermo take on Napoli in Serie A this weekend, and host Milan in the return leg of their semi-final on May 10.
