“It was such a special thing for him and Carles [Puyol] and [coach Pep Guardiola] to do,” Abidal told Spanish television. “It made me full of emotion to think about it and everything I have been through and I could not hold [tears] in.
“This kind of thing is why this is such a special club. We are like a family and everyone treats each other with love and respect.” ~Eric Abidal~ source |

QUOTE(monara @ Jun 1 2011, 02:51 AM) cant he just take others of his jerseys in the dressing room, for other barca's plyers who request it.. the jersey has more value when it's the very same jersey he's using to play against them, with all the sweat.it's something you cannot get anymore from a legend who has retired. Thank You Scholes. |

QUOTE(uzary @ May 31 2011, 08:48 PM) scholes always hv great respect toward ineista.. Absolutely nothing on Cesc yet so far. But do expect for Rosell and co. to make a move soon.btw guys, who are we gona get for this summer? will ibra coming back? will we get febregas this time?.. No offer from Milan for Ibra so far. Sevilla has confirmed they've signed Caceres officially. The deal involves 3ME + 1.5ME in bonuses. We are currently in negotiation for Jose Angel (Sporting) and Rossi. No amount of money is agreed on yet. We are also linked with Alexis Sanchez, but I prefer Rossi |

Caceres we could've sold him for 8 mills but the club wants him to be happy and lets him stay at Seville for only 3m. This post has been edited by barca96: Jun 1 2011, 02:25 PM |

Van Persie slams Spain and Chelsea
Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has launched an incredible tirade against Spain and Chelsea players, telling them to stop 'b****ing' at officials and get on with playing football. Robin van Persie protests his red card against Barcelona Van Persie claims he 'cannot understand' the behaviour of players who constantly put the referee under pressure and was scathing of Barcelona following their actions in the Champions League last-16 clash with the Gunners. However, he has now extended his ire towards the world champions and also London rivals Chelsea. "They [Spain players] always go up to referees in an attempt to get an opponent booked. They are trying to screw colleagues! That kind of behaviour really annoys me," Van Persie told Sport 1. "People who are watching the game on television and fans really do not want to see these kind of things. If you want to witness a lot of complaints, you should just go the bakery or something. There's always people nagging there as well. "Chelsea players are always b****ing against the referees. I really cannot understand that. Just shut the f*** up and focus on playing football." The Dutchman's comments, though, do take a different line from that of team-mate Jack Wilshere who claimed on Wednesday: "It's no use just Robin van Persie going because it looks like it's just him having a go at the ref. If we all get round him..." suggesting that Arsenal need to toughen up and impose themselves on officials. Meanwhile, Nicklas Bendtner has confirmed his desire to leave the club. "I have decided 100% that I must leave Arsenal," he told sporten.dk. "I've considered this for a long time and was quite clear when I arrived at my decision. "It doesn't feel particularly strange to not know what my future holds - I'm quite calm and confident that I'll be fine at a new club. "I'm fully focused on Saturday's game for now, because it is incredibly important, but after the international is over I may focus more directly on my future [but] I am sure I could easily go on holiday without having to panic about it. I'm looking to relax, mentally, after a season that was not what I hoped for or expected." http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/...hing%27?cc=4716 my respect towards arsenal is lessen everyday.. they r like loser blaming the referees when they themselves arent performed. i can understand rvp anger for his red card when he fought against us, but he shuldve gotten the earlier for his foul against alves iinm. |

Was proud in the beginning that he came from the same area as I am but I never liked his attitude. Even my mainly Feyenoord friends. For the bold part. I really don't understand why you would say such a thing. Its not just you. A lot of people on this board (lowyat) makes such comments. I mean, who in the world cares if you respect a particular club or not. I said it to fans of other football club fans as well so I say it to you too. |
