benefits seem good, work place (office) is nice. work environment seem not that encouraging. eventhough it is a Swedish MNC with a mat salleh as MD and CFO, but it is run with a malaysian local chinaman mentality.

Truck or Vehicle Construction Equipment(VCE) division? if have choice, choose Truck division.

benefits wise quite ok. if they didn't change the benefits, then the contractual bonus = 1.5 months a year, EPF=19%, Free Breakfast and Lunch at the cafeteria everyday, 5 day week...etc...

Eventhough it is an MNC and having French guys as MD and CFO, but overall work environment is quite localised. Good as stepping stone to gain experience. Many ppl after working in Volvo for 2 or 3 years, get employed into Toyota (which is located opposite Volvo) at better salary brackets and benefits.

Good luck.

Volvo no longer own the Car Division anymore. Volvo Group has sold its Car Division to Federal Auto. The Car Division is now owned by Federal Auto. Federal Auto is a completely different company and not related to Volvo Group. But Federal Auto is allowed to use the brand name of "Volvo" on the car. Now the Volvo Group only sell Truck, Bus, vehicle construction equipment(VCE)...etc Volvo Malaysia only sell Truck and Vehicle Construction Equipment (VCE).

Do you know what does Volvo means? Volvo is a swedish word that mean "I am rolling". Volvo is the first car manufacturer that introduce and include "car safety belt" in its car.

You can get some info on Volvo on Wikipedia.

Volvo = Volvo Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

Swedish Assembly is a separate entity(company).

Federal Auto is a separate entity(company).

Don't worry so much as doesn't mean that MBA holders can definitely be good in sales and also doesn't mean that degree holders can definitely be good in sales. Academic qualification is not the only deciding factor.
