Hi Guys,

I just got my persona elegance manual M-Line a week ago.

I found that the clutch level gonna release quite high only the car will move. However the problem i have is sometimes i heard some gear sound during reverse car (grooo sound) and sometimes no (even it come with grooo sound, the car still able to reverse).

Possible is the clutch cause that? Any body experience this ?

2nd. Any body who been to proton service center at Batu caves area ?
Which branch in batu caves did you went ? Nice service ?

Hi dragonteoh, welcome to LYN Persona Club V12.

For PE, the clutch level is quite high as u said, so in order to reverse ur car u'll need to press the clutch fully to engage ur reverse gear. What happens is the gear is not fully engaged, which explains why u may get some gear noises when u reverse ur car. This is normal, present in almost any manual car. But if possible, try to engage the gear fully before reversing.

Haha.. That 17 inch last time I really like.. & I wanted to change to R3 before I change to 17 inch but I thought it's a bit too expensive cos they don't take trade ins.. RM 3k one shot quite painful leh..

Hi Xandras,

Thanks for reply, yes i understand that gonna fully engage the gear before reverse. I had tried a few time , and confirm it was fully engage, however, the sound still come out , i also try to make the gear to Natural position once i heard the sound. However when the gear back to Natural, the grooo sound is still there until i engage to Gear 1...

Wired rite ? Previously i was driving iswara manual for 11 years, also drive quite few brand of manual car (not mine tongue.gif ) before, haha never feel the clutch like this high before.

I feel this car driving feeling is almost same as Waja.

Wah.. Where got like Waja.. U try to thrash ur car by doing a few sharp cornering.. Then u will know the difference between PE & Waja..

Hmmm... This is very subjective.. Ok, I'll put it this way:

1. Optimum tyre pressure for that set of 17 inch is 32-33 KPA if u want comfort, 34-35 KPA if u want good handling. I usually leave it at 33 to get a balance of both.
2. If the road is very rough (not potholes, just rough due to bad roadworks), then u might be able to feel the road surface a bit.
3. Leave ur pressure at 32-33 if u want comfort. Otherwise, 34-35 if u're going up Genting or thrashing corners.

Haha no, i not mean the performance, i mean the interior feeling , such as seat , steering turning feel , gear box and other interior stuff is very similar tongue.gif

When i first get the car, OMG, the butt really high ....can't see rear item much ... while the seat is very low even i adjust to highest level

1) Driver Side Safety Belt - No matter i wear or not wear safety belt , the safety belt lamp (Indicator) on tachometer was not on at all.

2) Fog Lamp - No matter i switch on or switch off the fog lamp , the fog lamp indicator in tachometer was not on at all also.

3) The behind red light (below reverse light) , does this light working or just for display ??

My car model is : Proton Persona Elegance M-Line Year 2011.

For those who having same model as me, can you check check your car see is it same ? Thanks

Those functions are meant for export models only. U can see whether ur fog lamp is on or not on the fog lamp button itself. It turns green when it's on.

Hahaha then it was a waste for the indicator on the tachometer, hmmm wonder y they din install it. Since now many car already have this indicator.

Oh ya..two more Question, the red lamp on behind of the car (Below reverse white lamp) , does this lamp working ? or just a dummy ?

the green color circle section

and also for the water tank of the wiper. Do they have the measure thing which stick together with the wiper tank cap ? I see manual have, but mine just cap, no water measure.
