QUOTE(hotjake @ Mar 19 2012, 03:38 AM) it is not right to send someone to hell just because he has no faith in whatever god. right and wrong is subjective and christianity has no monopoly over what is called the truth. truth to u may not be truth to others. just saying granted that's your opinion about christianity and i think lots of ppl out there think the same way as well. That's why we do not force you into Christianity, but let you yourself to see His work and His power in your life and then be convinced that He exists and then accept Him in your own accord. We are merely the medium where you can reach to if you ever needed more information about this God we believe in. |

QUOTE(WintersuN @ Mar 21 2012, 11:46 AM) Then i guess they're just as confused as u?and u know how terrible it is when the blind leads the blind. No offense. In my opinion, your salvation is obtained when you accept Jesus Christ as your personal saviour and Lord. I do it by what they call a sinner's prayer. You can do it by just acknowledging it. Of course, you have to know the implications of saying you wan Him as your saviour and Lord. It would mean now He has full control over your actions and thoughts. Salvation can't be felt i'm afraid. They are a lot of people saying they can feel a lightening of burdens in their heart and stuff, sometimes you just prayed and the Earth stood still. However, don't mean you're not saved. In short, accept Him in your life earnestly, and you are already saved!tithes, service, good works..those will come after that willingly. So far so good? |

QUOTE(unknown warrior @ Mar 23 2012, 11:32 AM) Spiritual Warfare Experience. u a pastor by any chance unknown warrior? I notice the devil always attack in various ways against Christians more intensely and systematically compared to non believers. And no matter how he does it I see the various circumstances he attacks in usually tie down to only 1 purpose. To keep you away from God. The 3 tenets of the Enemy. he will steal your joy, kill your faith and destroy your life. he will use whatever circumstance necessary. the bible says in the book of Job God gives us a revelation of what the devil do daily. That is why in 1 peter 5:8 says to always be self controlled and alert because the enemy is always on the look out for opportunity to bring you down. The book of Job reveals that. You see, during my working hours, I am fully awake and I am reminded of my walk with God and those times I notice is very hard for the devil to attack to bring down my faith. Why? Because I am prepared. It is only during my coming back home time when my guard is down, when I'm suppose to be more relax and in those time I needed rest, THAT'S WHEN! it happens. Those times would consist of my time with my family or when I'm with my relatives. Suppose to be a quality family time, playing with children, build relationship with wife, Parents, Relatives, etc away from the cares of the world. And you would think that's when the enemy leaves you alone. Let me assure you, he doesn't. If he can't destroy you during the day, he will wait for you until an opportune time. So dear brothers and sisters in Christ. Don't ever let your guard down, no matter what. Pray for protection, Pray for peace and exercise your authority over the devil all the time even when you don't feel like it. God Bless. |

QUOTE(WintersuN @ Mar 30 2012, 01:40 PM) I also know la u guys cant provide the answers cos u all oso normal christians.. deep down u not sure if u truely believes but cos u been brougt up since young it become a subconcious mind haha..dun think the answers u're looking for can be given by any 'divine' priest or anything like tat..from wat i read throughout this conversation, IMO, u're kinda confused with what God's will is for you in this Earth. U know any priest or pastor who is ultimately holy and have divine knowledge to answer questions of the lost children here? Is a good way to reach out Ask them create lyn id and come this thread For one,I'm seeing that you will only acknowledge He's there if He make u rich for three generations or something. I'm afraid He don't do things like that. Would be good if u are clear with what your role as His children here on Earth. |

QUOTE(WintersuN @ Mar 30 2012, 01:53 PM) I think im understand abit. Thnx put it this way..and correct me if i'm wrong..So u mean God is there but he's not doing anything and our role is to worship him for being there? Kinda make sense to me compared to the god help u thing.. whatever that you can change with ur own accord, He will not do anything about it even if u pray from 12am to 12am next day but if it's something u cannot change or do with ur own power and strength, that's where He will play the role of helping u.. one example. u are having an exam, one thing u can change:u can study and pay attention in class...etc one thing u cannot change: the questions that come out, the teacher's mood when marking ur paper, the answers u might write on the day. So, when u pray, u pray for good results and hope that He will bless you throughout the thing, keep u healthy and stuff like tat, then u also study hard for the exams and believe that He will be there for u when u need it like during the exam time. Hope it helps u to understand! |

QUOTE(lycaphim @ Mar 30 2012, 02:24 PM) My personal opinion - suicide is a sin (done in a moment of weakness and/or insanity), but a sin can be forgiven. But it's still between that person and God. so from ur opinion, is that person going to heaven or to hell? I know the between person and God part but just wan from ur opinion..thanks. |

QUOTE(fghvbn @ Mar 30 2012, 03:00 PM) You are saved to do the work of God which is to share the good news (Gospel). If saving yourself by believing Jesus and killing yourself just because "You don't want to live anymore" is already a sin itself. Tell me how you're going to repent when you're dead. dun think he/she wants to die badly..like i said..that person has depression and it's just that one second of decision that person then took the crazy decision to do it..so can i say wat u gave here somehow applies to someone who wants to die..but not to my case?Added on March 30, 2012, 3:03 pmOh by the way, you believe in the Lord because you want LIFE, not Death, it would be funny to see someone who wants to live to want to DIE so badly thanks for the replies though, |

QUOTE(fghvbn @ Mar 30 2012, 03:11 PM) Matthew 4: would love to have some explanation to the verses you give..cos i might misunderstood ur words as saying that person wanted to test God by 'throwing herself down'.5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’[c]” 7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’[d]” |

QUOTE(c3rl3n @ Apr 2 2012, 08:55 PM) Just want to lepas geram sedikit, and ask some advice. Well, for starters u can ask or wonder why do they act, speak, or think like that. There always have their reason for acting so..Yea it's going to be tough and rightly so, u're defending your religion which is what He called us to do in times of persecution. To be honest, I feel tempted to hate people of a certain belief because recently all they have been doing is insulting our beliefs to our faces. I am so tempted to hate them, insult them, post nasty stuff about them, etc...you get the idea. when all those are lies and damned lies indeed. How do you guys control it? I admit I'm not mature and take stuff very personally. These people don't even care, oh wait i mean they don't give a damn about how we feel at all. I'm human too you know...oh wait, they don't give a s-. (Urgh all the bad language may come out if I don't control myself argh! God forgive me!) Urm to those Christians here I know that Bible says in the last days sure got a lot of persecution...and that Jesus when dying on the cross said Father forgive them for they don't know what they are doing...but I'm so not like Jesus (I know, how can I right?)...the more I hear all this insults the more my blood boils...how I wish I can scream that I hate *** religion out loud in the street for all to hear if can. my heart feels like declaring all out war already, but i know in malaysia sure lose one. More mature and controlled ones, how on earth can I solve this problem? How do you love your enemies? How can you after you are kind to them and all you get back is insults and threats? serious question here. But to give an eye for an eye or a cheek for a cheek, well, He din call us to do that did He? PRay for patience and for forgiveness for ur enemies. Who knows, one day they might just become the closest of your brothers or sisters in Christ, just like Paul. Most important is to share it with a fellow believer (like here) or with someone in your church that you can trust and understands your hardship! |

QUOTE(c3rl3n @ Apr 2 2012, 09:41 PM) yup well...having not much frens is a possible source as to why u feel so alone here..and well, u can't stop people being all stereotype about it and Christianity have constantly been tied with Western culture and belief. From what your fren ask, she might not be trying to find an argument but guess she's just as lost and confused.lol, it feels like am army is marching against me, even though in reality like you said there's only one enemy. and even though I know factually i'm not alone, i feel so (perhaps added to the fact that i dun hv much friends with the same belief now) i know a friend from that faith who rather absent mindedly asked me one day (in her defence i'd say that she was trying hard to be religious in her faith) isn't partying and dressing sexily and (insert vice here) normal for you guys? She was (still is) a good friend of mine, but in my heart i got so pissed off. Pharisee much? Trying to look holy at my expense? That's what i think of many people of that faith, honestly, but then again i'm not thinking straight... idk...like my reply to unknown above, i think they're trying to look/be holy/good/religious at others' expense to feel good about themselves. Or they think that this pleases their God? i'm lost, and to a certain extent i think i'm lost for having all this hatred. hmm like you said, maybe i should pray about it... Anyway thanks guys for hearing me out Forgiven there stereotype everyone but here is the opportunity for u to be otherwise. Instead of giving in to the anger inside you, show her compassion and understanding to help her realise what she is assuming is wrong. Whatever her reasons may be, we do not know whether that person might be seeking or have a misconception. IF u faced this again, first pray in your heart for guidance and then listen to what they have to say. If it merits a reply then give it with love, if it does not, then u can smile and pray for forgiveness for them. Not easy, but with practise it will help. And of course coming here to rant..haha |

QUOTE(SummerSunshine @ Apr 2 2012, 10:01 PM) Hello guys! I wanna say something.....I remember during my secondary school, I was quite emo about life and stressful about my studies. After I went to the bed, I laid on my bed for hours but I just couldn't fall asleep, and then I put my hands together pray and talk to God everything that I felt uncomfortable with and all the sad matters until I really fell asleep. Sometimes I shed tears when I was putting my hands together talking to God. then sometimes I feel that "miracles" happened but I just didn't feel it until I flashback the "miracles" or is it simply my own sensitive achievement... great for u! U have found the inner peace that He always tell us to have in us. All you need to do is ask! You are still doing it rite?constantly praying.. |
