Agreed - when you are alone, it's very hard to grow. Living the Christian life is not just about "being a good person" (a phrase that is subject to personal interpretation). In reality it involves a lifelong struggle to discipline yourself and walk the narrow path.

The moment you become a Christian you're partaking in a spiritual warfare against all sorts of temptations, distractions, deceptions, doubts and other spiritual attacks that will be thrown at you. It is always good to have ppl praying for you and encouraging you along the way. You will also be able to encourage others in turn and have your own faith strengthened. Being in the church fellowship gives you opportunities to serve and in time grow and mature spiritually as well. So, even though it's true that you are still part of the church without having to enter a church building every week, it's best not to walk alone smile.gif

Ecclesiastes 4:12
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
