Prompting of the Holy Spirit.

QUOTE
Ephesians 1:13-14

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory

Those who are saved in the Lord can be baptised in the holy spirit which seals you to the Lord, meaning a sort of a chop on you marking you as a believer.

Authorised Staff of a company stamp their company chop on documents to mark as a seal of approval representing your company to another. So that other will recognise you legally. Same thing with this. The enemy will know and recognise this as well.

This deposit is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in you.

If God's spirit is in you, He can communicate with you. At times with still small voice, at times with the Word of the bible and at times through conviction or prompting.

Allow me to testify.

I have to make a decision today, when I made it, and move on with it. I didn't have any peace, the further I move into my decision, I get this conviction that everything is wrong.

I made a U turn, my peace came back and I can testify it was the right decision because I saw the purpose of U Turning my decision. It unfolded before me.

Have Faith my friends. Trust in the prompting of the Holy Spirit.

God Bless.

QUOTE(squarepilot @ Mar 14 2012, 10:47 PM)
so what if i still didnt baptized yet? will the holy spirit still works on me? will i be in different level/status/recognition if i havent do so? will i still gain salvation. cause baptism doesnt guaranty salvation as well

btw, nice daily devotion you have there, keep the good work up
*
Salvation is an unmerited gift of grace from God and yes baptism of the Holy Spirit is not a requirement for salvation (Romans 3:23-24 & Ephesians 2:8-9) because the moment you believe + confess (verbal confession) that Jesus is Lord and He died at the cross for the redemption of your sins and turn away from your sins, that is enough requirement for Salvation (Romans 10:9-10)

As I've mentioned earlier, the holy spirit is a mark of guaranteeing our inheritance meaning you inherit all the blessings of the Kingdom of God like how a child descendant inherit his parent's material possession after they pass on. However in this case God is giving you his spiritual inheritance through the Holy Spirit while He lives because he loves you. That itself is a kind of a mark that you are a believer. There is a difference on that with Salvation.

The Holy Spirit is one of the Sign of God's indwelling in you and is evident by speaking in tongues. When you speak in tongues, you communicate directly to God in Spirit which is more powerful way of communion. And I believe it's more powerful when praying. (Acts 1:8) No if you haven't been baptised in the holy spirit, it doesn't mean you are of any less in level or whatever. You are still a child of the most High God.

QUOTE
Acts 2:38

Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

You should desire for the Holy Spirit because He will help us in our daily walk with God.

oh wait, very confusing statement you have there. "No if you haven't been baptised in the holy spirit" is referring to the spiritual gift?

and yes, i do believe the essential part of baptism, but do baptism help us to become a better christian? a 3 month old baby can be baptized, so does an old adult, and jesus was being baptised only when he was 30.

so back to my question and your reply, what do you mean by "his spiritual inheritance" will be given to those who baptised, does it apply to non-baptised too?
*
You already have the holy Spirit the moment you receive Jesus.

Baptism Of the Holy Spirit is empowerment in your walk with God and in Service for God.

There is a difference between receiving and being baptised in the Holy Spirit.

Baptism of the holy spirit can be receive through you asking in prayer and at times through laying of hands from Church Representative.

If you're not too sure how to receive, then you can ask from your Church Elders.

I don't know if I make this simple enough, let me know. biggrin.gif

if there's no difference between a baptised believer and non-baptised believers, then why go for baptism?
*
What does the baptism in the Holy Spirit do for you?

You speak to God.

"For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries" (1 Corinthians 14:2).

You are edified or charged up spiritually.

"He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church" (1 Corinthians 14:4).

"But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit," (Jude 1:20).

You are to pray --- sing in your prayer language.

"For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding" (1 Corinthians 14:14,15).

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord" (Colossians 3:16)

"speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord," (Ephesians 5:19).

When you put on the armor of God, you are instructed to pray in your prayer language.

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints" (Ephesians 6:10-18).

When you don't know how to pray properly about a situation, you can pray in the Spirit.

"Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God" (Romans 8:26,27).

You may be used in the gifts of the Spirit.

"Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: you know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led. Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills" (1 Corinthians 12:1-11).

Morning Devotion.

Morning peeps.

One of the many ways to remain Faithful and Still Believe in God despite challenging circumstances.

1. You must understand that God is Good. Period. Do not doubt this EVER.
QUOTE
Psalms: For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

The Bible is the word of God and it is impossible for God to lie, so meditate on this.

2. Remember All that God has done for you before this. Remind yourself of the goodness of God.

The time when you should have died from some near death accidents or incidents from your enemies or circumstances but you didn't.
The time when you should have commit suicide but you didn't.
The time when you needed money badly and somehow you got it.
The time when you have some kind of bodily affliction but you were healed.
The time when you have made the wrong choice in life but God worked it to turned it to Good and in your favor in the end.
The time when you were ridiculed, oppressed, feeling down but somehow God lifted you up and out of it.
The time everything went wrong and all Hell break lose but God held you in his arm.

Remember all his goodness in times of dryness or in times of God's silence because

QUOTE
Psalms 77:11
I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.

When you do, you will understand He will do it AGAIN, AGAIN AND AGAIN!
QUOTE
Hebrew 10:32

Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffering.

QUOTE
Hebrew 10:32, 35&36
So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

Remember his Goodness and confess and profess your faith in him and believe in his word that God WILL PROVIDE ALL YOUR NEEDS! and Resist the devil because he is the father of all LIES!

LIES that lied to you saying God is never good or God has given up and forsaken you. RESIST his lies and declare God's words as the TRUTH! and your situation WILL CHANGE!

God Bless!

Night Time Devotion.

How to keep your mind sane when you messed up really bad in your Christian Walk?

Apostle Paul wrote more than half of the New Testament and had direct encounter with God, Sacrifice his life for the Gospel, Got persecuted, Put in Jail, all in the name of the gospel, performed miracles, healing the sick, etc in Jesus Name. One would have expected such a highly dedicated Man of God to be Holy and Living and operating in a spiritual Level much higher than all of us.

BUT Yet He goes through Life facing temptation and at times fall flat and do wrong like all of us.

QUOTE
Romans 7:14 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.

Thank God for this message. God is telling us nobody is perfect. And We are saved by Grace not works. I believe Paul is showing us how to come back to our sanity and senses. He continue to say.

QUOTE
Romans 7:24-25
What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!

Which is the truth. We can rest easy because sometimes when we fall, our solution is found in Jesus Christ. Why? He continued

QUOTE
Romans 8:1-2
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,a because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.

Hallelujah!. There is NO CONDEMNATION for those who are in Christ Jesus. That is the truth!. Though we might fall and do wrong, there is NO CONDEMNATION because the blood of Christ has washed ALL of our sins, Past, Present and Future! Amen!

Now I know what you're thinking. This is like saying we have license to Sin and get away with it. No. Read Back Romans 7:24-25.

Paul expressed What a wretch Man he is when he fell and did wrong. That is having a right heart before God.

QUOTE
Romans 7:22-23
For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members.
This passage tell us Paul had a right heart. His inner being delighted in doing right and living right before God. He did not delight neither does he pursue Sin or wrong doings. That is exactly WHAT we must have.

I pray to the Father to impart in all of us a holy desire to do what is right and to abhor Sin.

And the best Part of moving on is in this passage.

Philippians 3:13-14
QUOTE
Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

THIS ONE THING I DO

Hallelujah! THAT is the key secret along with the understanding above. Forget the Past and Move on! Press Forward and continue to uphold holiness and having a right heart and do right before God.

Praise and Glory be to God for this wonderful and powerful scripture!

Amen Amen Amen.

If you own a church, ask people to get the f*ck out of your church in the most obnoxious manner. Don't tell people why should they ask.

Instead, watch how they will mock you when they are about to leave the church, commenting how they rather go to a better church. And then, see whoever remains.

Those who remains, hug them and apologize to them. Congratulate them for wanting to stay in the church, not because whether the one running the church is good or bad, but because they are there for God.
*
You have a wrong thought my friend.

Churches are not exclusive Christian membership club who are for God only.

Churches is the body of Christ where sinner can find a place for hope.

QUOTE
Luke 5: 30-32

But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and ‘sinners’?”

Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

can  i opinionated about jesus
okay
1.jesus was not god (he claim himself not god but instead a son of god )
why does people think he is god?  rclxub.gif
2.since God created Adam then Eve (few 100000++ later , human exist , so my question is Mother Mary
is descendant of A & E ? )
3. If got God Impregnant M.Mary wif JC then that mean Jesus is Demigod (Human +God Hybrid ) ?

so tat my question  rclxub.gif
*
1.
When Jesus came to Earth through the Virgin Mary, He came in the full flesh as a complete human being so that we can relate to Him.

Jesus have always been God before time in Majesty and Power.

The reason why he become human is to take our place for punishment of Sin so that you don't have to suffer for you sins when you die in death and meet God in the Heavenly realms. He came as human form because we are human form.

Actually Jesus did claim he is God.
QUOTE
John 10:30

I and the Father are one.

2. All of us are descendants of Adam and Eve.

3. No. Why Jesus could perform Miracles, Signs and wonders in his earthly human form is because the spirit of God came upon him in full power.

QUOTE
(Luke 3:22)
and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased."

3. so in meaning
he become human before crucifix and after crucifix he become god?
or he is god but in human  rclxub.gif
*
1. He became complete Human before the crucifixion.

After He died and completed the redemption at the cross, God Raise Him up and Restore Him to Full Power.

QUOTE
Ephesians 1:20-23

which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
2. There are things we don't know as of now. There are many theologians who argued that Jesus still retain his Human Form after He ascended to Heaven and there is another argument that believe He was totally transcended to Full God being after he ascended.

Consider the Scriptures below,

In John 20:19 & 26 Jesus after the resurrection, materialize out of no where to the disciple even thought the doors were lock. He showed them his nailed mark hands and His side pierced by the spear.

QUOTE
John 20:26-27

A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”

This part clearly shows Our Lord is still retaining his Human Form.

And yet when we see the Book Of revelations.

QUOTE
Revelations 19: 11-16

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.”a He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:

king of kings and lord of lords.

This part clearly shows Our Lord in the full Glory of God Being emitting Majestic Power.

So it's up to you perceive whether Jesus is God in God Form or Human Form.

I honestly don't know and I wouldn't want to lead anyone astray with false teaching/doctrine and
It is in my opinion these questions will be answered when we get there in Heaven and ask him and to me it is not important as of right now.

What is important is that we know Jesus has remove the power of death and has Power above all Dominion.

And He is for us not against us.

And what you did not understand is that those who remained in the church, are the SINCERE SINNERS WHO WISHES TO REPENT, unlike those who were there who simply are in the church to compare clothing and to advocate their pretentious morality being in the church with a "touchy feeling" which are insincere in nature.
Hahaha! Seriously? That only means that the way you perceive a church is different from mine.

You see. You see church as an obligation to be active, and NOT BORING, i.e. not enough good marketing skills.

I see church as the only, the closest tangible, physical reach to experience God, hence the proposition of the idea (my friend's idea to be exact) to weed out those who treats the church like a freaking exclusive membership club.
*
Yes I understand what you meant but you also need to understand If any pastor were to do what you suggested, you're going against the very thing Jesus ask us to do.

QUOTE
Matthew 5:44-47

But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?

To hate hypocrites is exactly what defeats us as Christian. Contemplate what Matthew 5 above says. This is a very deep command but it's what God wants.

BTW deadlock, God lives in all of us. You can experience God at home as well when you spend quiet time with him.

God Bless and Peace be on you.

1. the old testament
2.the new testament
3. boook of revelation ?
who is the author of bible hmm.gif
4.when is bible created ? (after jesus or ?)
*
1 & 2
The Bible has always been about Jesus. From OT to NT.

OT is the copy or shadow of things that is to come in the NT.

In Simple Words

OT = before Christ, what happened, Why, When, Where and the history of all the events of God's people.
NT = Christ Came, what happened, Why, When, Where and the history of all the events of Jesus and God's people during Jesus and after Jesus resurrection.

3.
Book of Revelation = The future that is yet to happened.

4. The Bible was written over more than 1,500 years by 40 different divine inspired writers. There are 66 books which talks about history, prophecy, poetry, and theology but it is really about why Man have Fallen and God's love for us. The first part of the Bible, Genesis was believe to be written or collected by Moses.

Moses is before Jesus time.

4. does jesus had son or a wife before he went to crucifixion
*
1. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God who guides us in our walk with God and lives in us. He is the voice of God, our Teacher, Our comforter, etc.
Most importantly He is our direct link to God.

2. Lucifer is the fallen Angel. No, The Devil's power is a lot lesser than God. Very very much lesser. It fact Satan and all his dark forces submit to the name of Jesus Christ. The Devil is in fact once part of God's Angel but out of pride he exalted himself to be like God and Sin and was cast down to Earth fell like Lightning.

QUOTE
Ezekiel 28:12-19.

You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God;every precious stone adorned you:
ruby, topaz and emerald, chrysolite, onyx and jasper, sapphire,b turquoise and beryl.c Your settings and mountingsd were made of gold;
on the day you were created they were prepared. You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you.

Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God,
and I expelled you, O guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones. Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings. By your many sins and dishonest trade
you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching. All the nations who knew you are appalled at you; you have come to a horrible end and will be no more.’”

3. Yes he was the one who deceive Eve and Yes in the end of time in the last Battle, there will be War between God and Satan. But in the end Satan lost.

QUOTE
Revelation 20:10

And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

1. Well if you believe in Jesus atonement for your sin and repent, the moment you accept Him, the Holy Spirit will come unto you. Other than that, No, not every one will have the Holy Spirit.

2. I don't think Right and Left has anything to do with Good and Evil. biggrin.gif But on this subject, it's more important to understand Sin And Repentance. We believe Man has been separated from God because of Sin. The power of Sin Leads to Evil Behaviour. Relationship & Right thinking with God leads to doing good.

3. There are a lot of things about Moses. The more famous one is the 10 commandments Which God gave to Moses.

4. Nothing is mentioned about Judas saved by Jesus in the Bible so we don't know.

3. Moses is not the only important role back in the OT. There are many great Man of God, Abraham, David, Soloman, etc.

4. Yes. Civilised.

5. Yes in the OT.

AD is a common term use to denote an Era.

Traditionally it's an old Latin word known as "The Year of The Lord Jesus".

1. They are actually the first offspring of Adam and Eve. A very interesting deposition as they actually teach us something.
Abel probably knew and understand God better than Cain. He knew what pleases the Lord gave the best fruit of his works and God favours him. Cain out of Jealousy killed him. That is the foreshadow of example about people who have deep relationship with God and people who only talk about God but did not know Him. There's a whole lot of Teaching from this Scripture alone but lets leave that for another time.

2. I believe it is the Holy Spirit of God who directs all knowledge, I am only a willing servant to be used by Him. All Glory goes back to my Lord.

3. Wow, there are so many of them and it's all recorded from OT to NT. Yes they all worshipped God and they all have great roles. Maybe in one of the next devotions I could relay some pointers.

4. The Bible refer Hell as the Lake of Eternal Fire. (Matthew 25:41) One of the Characteristic of God is Justice. Justice in simple term simply means Fairness or Balance. If there is reward the counter part would be punishment. Same thing with this world without Law everything would be chaotic. Just because there is a law sentencing criminals to death does that mean the Law is Evil? I hope that got you to think.

Here's another something. If someone has done you wrong, naturally you would want justice too.
