Perfect for students as it's more of surfing gaming and also occasional work like typing out files and etc..

I've used the iPad for like 2 weeks, I don't know, it still feels to me like an entertainment device.
In terms of web surfing, watching movies, playing games, the UI feels snappy and nice to hold and touch. Tested HD movies at 720p, image quality not bad. Enjoying the photos are also quite a nice experience. This post has been edited by geekster129: Feb 17 2011, 03:12 PM |

QUOTE(jialer @ Feb 17 2011, 07:03 PM) Depends on how you use it. A typical 40 minute HD movie, encoded in h.264 format will take about 600MB.Apps are usually 20MB - 60MB. Unless you want to make your iPad like a jukebox, you can try to delete them off if you don't need it anymore. Storage is not cheap as they are solid state drives. I bought my Ipad a month ago.
The cheapest Ipad is rm1549, WiFi oni. Plus a screen protector and carrying case -> rm1800. If u need to do assignments, typing on the Ipad = no no. A Zaggmate case with keyboard sets u back at another rm300, so its almost rm2000. Yes the new iOS allows u to multi-task but it's cumbersome and i would say its as good as none if compared to a laptop. Document management, file handling, iTunes and stuff, it's all a learning curve if u've never used iOS / Mac before. Plus u need to dig up certain apps from App store for those extra functions, if u have a credit card in the first place. If i'm a student and $ is an issue, i would vote for a rm999 netbook anyday |
