Hi guys...i am thinking of getting new forte as my new car for upgrade, my current vios will be given to my brother as his new car..after read up on this forum and other forums, there are a few issues which happened usually on forte, the alignment issue and the after sales service issue (maybe there is still other issues)..i hope to get it for a long term usage

what is the current interest rate?

i am staying in kota damansara, there is 1 sales centre there, not sure the service good or not...any recommendation? i heard puchong (opposite IOI mall) is not bad..

looking for you guys kind advise...

My alignment problem was pretty bad when I got my car so I took it for a fix during 1k service.. The service center fella had to send my car for alignment adjustment 5 times(I insisted biggrin.gif) then finally it's fixed now.

anyone with Forte EX 6 speed can list down all the feature?

1. How the key looks like?
2. Spare tyre with sport rim, same size with the other 4?
3. Alarm system?
4. Can open the door without clicking the open key like in the SX? Just put the key with you, approach the car and push the button at the fron door?

1) I believe it looks like this: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/car/09...nd_fob_photo_14
2) Yes, should be, double check with SA to clarify
3) None, SX also dont have
4) Dont think so, I believe SX only have this because only SX got keyless entry system.

CyberKewl : Thanks for the reply bro ...

Keyless entry system is not included in the Ex version? If that so can be install it seperately?

Regarding the key, in the 6 speed version (or FL) for EX, i think the key is diff, but i must be mistaken, if so for any of the forte owner with the 6 speed EX please confirm..

According to the brochure keyless entry is not included in EX version..not sure if you can actually go to the SC and install it, but why not just get the SX version if its within your budget? More worth it with so many extra goodies and stability control programmes that comes with it.

What was the reason for the start button failure according to the SC? This sounds serious yet its the first time hearing that cannot start the car even with the failsafe method.

He didn't tell me the details of the repair.

Hi, glad you are happy with your Forte. I have just booked my 1.6SX White coming in May. biggrin.gif

Would any members here like to share their "regrets" of getting the Forte? I suppose if they were, they will not be visiting this forum anymore. tongue.gif

jst came back visiting SG last week. i know Hyundai is doing well in SG, but didnt know that they actually won a tender for a taxi company to use Sonata (few years back model).

am surprised to hear that most of the batches, after 3 years, engine will have some problem. eg more petrol consuming, noisier, etc.

it's quite a well known issues in sg it seems and now the taxi company is thinking to change it to Camry already.

dunno if the Forte engine is based on the same tech with Hyundai one...if it is. then hope the engine wont have the same prob like the Sonata one...
