I don't know, but the Corsair F60 I have did look like it had short connectors...talk about designing  rolleyes.gif . I placed my Momentus XT in right now and did fresh install again. Sigh sweat.gif

How to check the hard drive got short connector? Is it cannot fit to laptop connector at all?

QUOTE(kahjye @ Apr 2 2011, 03:05 AM)

what to do? Everyone is busy playing with their new toy. biggrin.gif

I have some cash in my hand and plan to take either NP8150/NP8170 from rjtech.com (barebone system without hard drive and RAM). Others are standard config. biggrin.gif

just convert the amount of money leh~. use google convert the amount haha.

anyway, seems like TS is going for future hardware change on his 8150, holding on to 460M until some other new stuffs is available eh? even got empty caddy case summore~
*
Yup, something like that biggrin.gif

QUOTE(kahjye @ Apr 2 2011, 05:37 PM)
After convert is 4293.03.
looks pretty neat hahaha.
np8150 is not necessary right if dont plan to upgrade?

*
That's okay. I can collect some more and upgrade to higher GC biggrin.gif

wah ts , u prefer to buy from US? o.o

why not mucro?
*
mucro/cubehub doesn't offer exclusion of RAM module to make the unit cheaper and also caddy case they offered a little bit expensive.

hahhaa..the comp i using now damn slow ... = =

lazy wanna convert lol.

looks like GTX460M is really good eh,

i check out the msi GT680R gaming performance in yewtube.

it performs really well.

GT680R has the same spec as the sager np8130.

gaming performance should be the same right??
*
I believe the performance should be identical (use same proc + same gpu as NP8130), and of course cannot compare sound quality and design of GT680r with NP8130 biggrin.gif

o mai...look at the price gap between msi and sager..
*
this is because they add 1tb hard drive (500GBx2 probably) + bluray drive + 12gb ram + windows + warranty

problem is, NP8130/NP8150 don't have extra slot for 2nd hard drive if want stick with optical drive. GT680r should compare with NP8170

^ sometimes the shop profit at least Rm 50-100 per unit of laptop sold.
(based on my experience as computer component dealer) biggrin.gif

in this case, price for laptop like acer/toshiba/dell (available in malaysia) hard to manipulate it's price. we can manipulate price for imported laptops

^GT680r is better in terms of warranty and design
np8170 is better in terms of price, customize specification and upgradable. And np8170 can add 2nd hard drive in 2nd hdd slot, the optical drive still intact.

u buy rams yourself?

but i really wonder for a long time already...why the rams offered by mucro is so much more expensive compared to market dimm rams?
*
i order yesterday and i can't initiate foreign remittance through PBB online because it's operate on certain working hours.
they want us to buy ram together with the unit (refer to my enquiry with cubehub)

It is possible to remove the Hard Drive but not the memory as Sager dont allow us to do that now. As they told us many have problem installing thier own RAM and in the end have to go back to Sager.

in my case, i buy without memory from rjtech and experiment it by installing aftermarket DDR-1333 ram

QUOTE(Pewufod @ Apr 3 2011, 03:32 PM)
just get the stock 4gb rams and add ram yourself
i think you can try to get it without any rams but you will then have to install the ram under the 2x slot under the keyboard which is a little troublesome
*
you may refer to first post to view the tutorial of accessing 2 ram slots underneath the keyboard. biggrin.gif

any DDR3-1333 ram would do and it won't reduce the performance, unless you use SSD
