Former suitable for landscape that involves skies while latter can be used to take slow shutter images, i.e. waterfall with slow shutter speed. Go for Cokin, or cheaper TianYa. I've always wanted to get a set but no monneh maybe later this year

There r VC and non VC, I will recommend the VC ones, coz it comes really handy in low light=) n for shaky hands ppl like me..... it's sharp enuf for me at least
