For the extra grip I guess, D3000/D3100/D5000 grip is small, good to have extra size from the battery grip.

Not everyone buys BG for the extended life. I use grip on my D700 but most of the time only 1 battery at a time. Leceh to detach the grip from body to insert another battery in the body.
*
Came to think of it, yes d3100 is a small camera. Hold in hands oso feels small. Even though my hands is small. Vertical shooting and extra grip maybe laugh.gif

During snowing time I took my dslr out to play for one whole day. Shoot2 non stop tat day oso. At the end of the day my battery still got around 1/4. No BG yah. N I don't use liveview at all, preview images sometime oni. Works well for me. In my case, I don't need any extra battery, cuz night time sampai hotel can change the battery aledi biggrin.gif

for entry level body you have to play with your lcd screen. sad.gif
*
hmm.gif that actually make some sense. As for higher bodies than the entry levels, we have the upper screen to alter things. So i dont really know how the entry level battery will serve ya. maybe someone can confirm this one?

sorry i m outdated...got D70s only.  sweat.gif  D7000 got that?
*
Dude, I seriously don't get what u r trying to say. Firstly I didn't say anything about viewfinder and suddenly u said I say that entry level bodies don't have viewfinders. I suggest u read back what I wrote. After all. If u do own a d70s, u should know what I'm talking about.

i thought there got another screen beside lcd screen/monitor in DSLR body?  rclxub.gif

then i look at the interned camera got 2 parts can use eye to view what...1) view finder 2) monitor/LCD screen...

based from the posts above , i thought the "upper screen" is the view finder? like view cam? inside got electronic stuff can preview picture? (alternate choice to preview in LCD screen/monitor)  rclxub.gif
blur blur... sweat.gif

I got some pretty decent ones. Not as expensive as urs for sure. The cheap 18-35 n cheap 50 1.4G..ordered the 24-70 n the kedai told me 3 weeks will sampai..till now no news yet..(or maybe haven't 3 weeks yet hmm.gif ) waoh this is bad poison sweat.gif

I won't get a tamron if i were you. photo quality for long range lens such as tamron 18-270mm won't be good. please correct me if i'm wrong.
i will prefer 70-300mm VR
*
It's an allrounder lens. If one don't mind carrying more than one lens, then go with the 70300. The 18270 offers great versatility, but not so good iq.

Wow..quite expensive for a backpack that size..although it is quite big.

I need a bag that looks like a normal backpack, isn't too flashy, practical, and not to big so that I can carry it with me on an airplane...

looking at kata & lowepro but i'm confused as there are a lot of bags to look at and im not sure all the shops carry all models.
*
U nid an expensive bag to store your expensive gears maa.. laugh.gif
