more tech talk here - 85D and 85G. will there be alot of difference in sharpness? i have read some reviews on both. some say stay with the D n some say G is the way. (G not meaning Gay ah sweat.gif ) any thoughts my sifusss?
*
G is slightly sharper and colour nicer than D, but for the price of D now, it's worth it (RM800 cheaper than G). tongue.gif

And the sound of lens focusing? tongue.gif

I use Azden XGS-25 Shotgun fitted on hotshoe/K-Tek Boom Pole with Sennheiser wireless transmitter + receiver, and use fulltime manual focus, so lens focusing sound is never an issue for me. smile.gif

That's because they use autofocus while recording with their dslr without using any external mic. As I know the internal mic built in dslr would pick up the motor sound in the lens during video recording. smile.gif

Basically the Azden shotgun is an external microphone that's able to concentrate more sound recording from the direction it's head is pointing at compared to the ambient sound, which is very useful to record conversation.

K-Tek Boom Pole is a long expandable pole stick where you can fix any mic at the edge of the pole like fishing lol.

Sennheiser is the brand for the wireless sound transmitter/receiver. Fix the transmitter at the Azden shotgun microphone and the receiver on your camera hot shoe with the mic jack fitted into the mic port on the camera, you can do wireless mic set up. smile.gif

Go direct to Nikon is faster. FYI if you send to Nikon Centre at BTS also they will send it to the Nikon Service Centre @Menara PKNS at PJ, so fastest way is still to go to the PJ service centre. smile.gif

College going to purchase the screen LCD for video recording monitoring soon. I also sent request form to college for the shoulder camera holder for videography because the current Steadycam camera stabilizer we having is too tiring for long hours usage. tongue.gif
