Go ahead and buy! No tax! If you use DHL, Fedex, UPS, they will clear it for you. If use post laju, maybe u need to pay RM50 for the agent to get it for u, in case they tahan your parcel.

Example: http://www.photomalaysia.com/forums/showth...ght=customs+tax

My friend bought a lot lenses from USA, all over RM1k, never have any problem, always reach his doorstep.

---------------

eh by the way, you are the one kena rm200 tax for 50mm 1.4G huh? how come ah? customs didn't mention the tax code?

wah, so sway. I use UPS as well. The parcel attached with printed customs form 'declaration of goods imported', list out clearly item name, model, tax code, import duty-NIL, cukai lain2-NIL. Also attached with a seller's invoice describing the parcel content.

I think probably your sender didn't describe the item clearly, so you got wrong tariff code... become taxable.
