thats funny, cos i'm have a gym membership because its cheaper than to build a home gym.

breakdown of your stuff:
gloves: not needed, if you really want one, just get the cheap ones from any fitness stores, no difference. unless you're brand conscious(?)
bands: yeah, sure. but instead of limiting to six exercises, i would buy more weights and use db's instead
db's: yes
bench: yes

answers:
1. the only way your muscles can grow bigger is you stress them by continually lifting progressively heavier weights. normally at 8-12 reps per set for beginners
2. not using gloves, no comment
3. not using bands, no comment
4. it works by you sitting on it. from your pic, no it doesnt have a place to hook your legs. if you need an explanation on whats incline, decline, and flat, find a dictionary or google.
5. IMO, if it was me, i would just buy the db's, bench, and more plate weights. but thats just me smile.gif

imo, since you're just starting out, just buy db's + plates first. learn the proper form and technique for various exercises. what you can do with a barbell, you can do with a pair of db's. you can buy a barbell later and use the same plates for your db's to load up the barbell.

and you shouldn't be very concerned on how your home gym LOOKS like.

edit: and buy the bench, of course >.<

difference between an EZ curl bar and straight bar is how your palms grip the bar. with the EZ bar your grip is more supinated, therefore easier on the wrists as compared to straight. personal choice really. i dont see a major difference if you choose either one.

and having olympic bars without at least 45lbs weights are lol. unless you're planning to do the big 3(squat, deadlift, bench) with at least your BW i suggest you take the short bar. the reason to having olympic bars is to accommodate more weight, and to place on squat racks, power cages or bench press benches.

ask for a pull up bar. and smack the salesman while you're at it.
my "specialized" pull up bar is my house's sliding grill door, the top part. paid a bomb for it, mind you tongue.gif
