Don't know if this has been talked about or not, but it seems now you can finally change the unifi password via the unifi portal (occ.unifi.my).

Has anyone paid their bill on occ.unifi.my?

I tried today, because I realised it's the payment due date already.

So I went to their website to pay. Payment was successful as indicated by the receipt.

When I went back to the bill tab, to my dismay, it freaking said the payment wasn't successful! F-UCK!

Their billing department is not on call now sad.gif I have to wait till tomorrow before I can check. But WTF!!! Who did the retarded system?!

I've been using it to pay my bill ever since they upped the site. Had a problem only once, when two of my payments were not registered in their system.
Solved it by calling their billing dept and giving the bank approval code for the transactions.

Just wanted to let everyone know that if your UniFi breaks, you can expect to be without Internet, Telephone & TV for quite a while.
Mine failed on 1st March. Today, 4th March they finally gave me an appointment date for rectification - 16th March!

Absolutely incredible that a company that is making 1.2billion in profit cannot provide customer service - or maybe that is why they made so much? Sign up suckers like me & then don't bother to fix the system and don't allow me to cancel my 2 year contract?

For the 1st 2 days I had no DSL light. Now I notice I do have a DSL light so maybe they did some work on their side & fixed part of it and maybe now the only problem is my side.....? I am trying to fault-find myself. I am in a condo so connection from basement is by phone lines. I have a Huawei HG655a with DSL light on and Internet light blinking every so often, presumably when the D-Link DIR-615 tries to connect to Internet.

I tried removing the D-Link and have connected my PC into the HG665a and logged in with Admin/Admin. Network status is that ptm1.400 is always 'Connecting' and ptm1.600 and ptm1.500 are both 'Connected' though Online Duration is 0 and - respectively.
The xDSL info is as per the attachment.

Any experts on this HG655a that can tell me if it is dead and can tell me if I can buy my own tonight or tomorrow? Or an equivalent? I don't necessarily need phone & tv for the time being but cannot survive without Internet (typing this on my Celcom connection at the moment!)

Don't forget to insist on a rebate!
When my IPTV was giving problems I got a healthy RM149 rebate for my VIP20 package. brows.gif
I complained like hell though, even wrote to the 'Im-afraid-of-TM' MCMC.

Yes, existing tel line, my case, they pull out the streamyx service and jumper in the Unifi.. so I immediately lose Streamyx service ..

Added on March 13, 2011, 1:32 pmMy neighbor  condo unit just installed Unifi ( saw the Unifi technicial left their unit ) and suddenly my Unifi service is DOWN.. WTF..

I called up Unifi to report a service down and after a few hours, they told me the EARLIEST date they can send a technician over is ONE WEEK later..

WTF!!!!!

Luckily I'm on Maxis HSBB 3 months trial. so still have backup Internet.. or else, how can we live without Internet for ONE WEEK!!!!

New users, pls beware of this !!!! There are no SLA (Service Level Agreement) to get your service up for home users..

Haven't visited this thread since quite a while.

You guys notice any difference between 175.xxx and 110.xxx ip range?
Last time I only get 110 range, but nowadays I've been getting 175. I remember some users complaining about slower speed on 175, but that was last year.
I don't see a difference, at least for now.

Firstly, I'm really pissed off right now, I'd been experiencing very unstable connection. My internet keeps on disconnecting and reconnecting.
Secondly, I called the UniFi hotline and waited for more than 10 minutes and there was no pickup.
Thirdly, the download speed stated in speedtest.net was 15mbps but when I downloaded something off the internet the down speed was only 200~300kb/s, what is this?!

Try downloading directly from Microsoft. I always get full speed from their servers.

I've been using Unifi since April 2010 and the only problem that I've had so far was IPTV interruptions. It took a while but I was given a healthy rebate. thumbup.gif

A little tip to those who are having problem connecting to the internet.

This is a classic problem that dated back to the days of Streamyx.

Is shall explain it in layman's term, a language I know best. laugh.gif
Sometimes, if you disconnect and reconnect to quickly many times, or say simply turn off your router when it was too busy or something similar, your connection won't actually 'disconnect' in their (Unifi) system. So if you try to connect again, it would appear that a duplicate account is trying to reconnect; meaning you won't get a connection.

Call the CS and ask them to check whether you're 'still connected' in their system. If yes, ask them to reset.

I had this problem twice. 2 days ago with my VIP5 connection, and just now with my VIP20. For the first case, the CS told me 'in the system it shows you've been connected since 8PM yesterday' - that's exactly the time I lost connection. doh.gif

For this second case, the first CS that I talked to was bloody doing something else instead of resetting my connection. I asked him to reset, he told me okay I'll do that, if connection still fails call me back in 5 mins. After more than 5 mins the problem still persist so I called back and asked to talk to the earlier guy but he was busy on the line with someone else. So I told the second guy about my problem, and he resetted the connection on the spot and I can immediately see the connection coming back on my router status page. Then he asked me, "what did 'R' do just now?" (R is the first guy). I told him that I told R exactly the same thing I told him - check the system to see if my connection is still on and to reset my connection, also told him that I had a similar problem a few days back with my other account.

I've got a strong feeling that this R guy is the same person (because the voice sounds similar) who claimed to have resetted my connection during the first case with my VIP5 but actually did not. I had to talk to someone else to get it fixed. doh.gif

Hey Guys,

Any product suggestions to replace my default dlink unifi router. I can't detect through out my whole house. I wonder why there are two antennas and yet it is as bad as my previous 1 antenna modem wireless router.

Range extender or whatever??!?!? biggrin.gif:D:D
