Hi,

Still thinking of getting the unfi. Seems still got a lot of complain about the speed. How about the service if the link is down? I read through a few, it will takes a few days just to make appointment. My god. Currently using streamyx, quite efficient. Call today, most of the time by tomorrow will be fix or rectify... Since using normal phone line and the equipment is not so complex as compare to Unifi.

I just imagine internet is down for a few days just waiting for the unifi support guy to turn up.

Please share your experience.

many thanks first.

For me... Their service considered ok... They will show up on the second day also if they filed a report for u... But they will check whether the problem is on their site first before coming to your house. Maybe second or third day. Oh... It depends on the time you called them too.

Tried the StreamyxZone ID, and it works...

However, rather than use the xxx@StreamyxZone as suggested, you use xxx only as your login, but scroll down for UNIFI USERS type of account with your password... smile.gif

You're connecting to router or BTU? D-link router is using 192.168.0.1 by default

Erm... That D-link router, DIR-615 is very very well known for its poor signal. Get tp-link tl-wr841ND to replace it!

Sounds very impressive, for me web browsing to international sites and downloads are painfully slow. Speedtest from testmy.net takes about 15 minutes to complete. Without VPN speedtest to UK 32Kbps, with VPN 1Mbps +. I guess I should make a complaint, is this the correct telephone number 1 300 88 1221 to do so or is it better to e-mail them.

If you're calling the number, be reminded that it charges you erm... 4 cents per mins or what. That number is not toll-free. But 4 cents per min... Talk 10mins also 40cents. Not a big deal though. I never tried to email them to complain. Always called.
