but in dire need of screen protector and casing / skin.
my fingers are too sweaty, they make pro's screen looks used n dirty

yup that's true... so far i couldn't find any skin / case custom fit for SEX Pro. currently i'm just using the leather pouch the seller gave me. i think i have hyperhidrosis, so to rely 100% on touch screen is not a very good idea for me.

eh? if i'm not mistaken, when i first turned on the wifi, the update center notified me that my hp is not up to date (i'm pretty sure it wasn't 2.3.4 before). after i restarted the hp, new apps were installed, e.g. 3D album, let's golf! game. here's the screenshot after update:

urm I'm not a tech junkie, so in layman's terms, the phone is great! (nah doesn't help i know )

my friend who owns an ip4, said sexpro is as responsive as ip4 (because of proximity sensor thingy maybe).
camera's awesome, the flash is good even when taking pic in dark places.
display's good too... watching HD youtube is the same as watching on HDTV

and quite fast too. usually at home using wifi, for youtube, and with laptop, i have to wait for like 5 secs for the early part of the video to load. but sexpro, less than that. (hope you understand what i'm trying to say...)

one thing i like is no matter how you hold the hp, the display will adjust itself automatically. upside down, keyboard on the upper side pun no problem. err but maybe other hphones have done that too. ipad only realigns themselves on 2 angles right? oh but display realignment doesn't work when you're browsing the menu screen, unless you slide out the keyboard. but for messaging, browsing internet, yes.

for bluetooth, it has limits on how many seconds it will be turned on (100 secs i think). but once you've identified the other device for pairing, it will be open for that device only, even after the countdown is over.

hmmm what else? sounds are also good. i like the earphone, after you plugged it in your ear, all other surrounding sounds are dampened. i've used nokia, samsung n LG earphones before, and this one's the best. and it doesn't irritate my ears too.

it feels a bit weighty too since it has the physical keyboard. but i've used N80 and corbypro before, so it's not really a big deal. it feels good to actually feel you're holding sth imho.

maybe this review is a bit biased, coz i've never used a smartphone before

battery usage aa... roughly, if you turn on the wifi all the time, plus heavy surfing (finding awesome android apps @ android market ;P and constant fb updates), around 24 hrs drained already. or maybe because the wifi is quite unstable (always hilang2), so that's why the battery ran out quickly.

but on normal usage (occasional calls n smses, wifi at night only), only used ~60% after 24hrs.

do any of you have any problem with the startup? I find it quite slow, because have to scan the SD media contents first, etc. or is that normal for all smartphones?

the other day i was kinda impatient, coz i wanted to snap pictures asap. after turning it on, i immediately pressed the camera button. then got error msg about my SD card is full (but actually it wasn't, got 5+ GB left). suddenly all my recent photos couldn't be viewed. last night when it connected it to my laptop, all images were displayed as "invalid images".

grrr what should i do now?

scanned the sd card... but still can't view the pictures.

dunno whether they were there earlier, but found some files with gibberish names, e.g. f╙··L╣6.+L╓

feels the need to delete those files arrgh

yea got some problem with the music files as well... for example i downloaded kelly clarkson's song. it was ok the 1st time i played right after dloading, but when i wanted to include the song in my playlist, that same file now corresponds to a different music file. i thought i must've dloaded it wrong.

where can i buy class 10 SD card? and what brand did u buy?

personally, i choose pkeyboard over vkeyboard coz i have sweaty palms n fingers. don't like to have smudges on the touch screen :sweat3: and pkeyboard does come in handy when you're typing long messages / emails in landscape mode. in protrait mode, the keys are a bit too small for me, always missed the right keys.

my friend said she updated her x10i using the pc software update, then her hp went kaput. had to send it for repair, after a month then she got it back. problem with motherboard.

yea i don't like the audio jack placement either. you can't put the entire phone in your casing and listening via earphones at the same time.

yes i agree the iDefense is such a pain in the asss, and carbon back is AWESOME.

putting the screen protector on was the hardest for me. i ended up taking it off and on, i'm not sure it could still work as a protector or not anymore .

i pmed the seller about this, and he said should wait for 2-3 days to make all the imperfections go away, i hope he's right.

i deleted timescape from my desktop, don't feel like using it. you can disconnect/deactivate other apps that can be connected to timescape as well, right? under settings> set up services.

my phone's finally updated itself to A.0.058 woot!

pikacu, yours looks better than mine. my screen now looks used and old... so many smudges and habuks. i redid the SP like 3 times already, gave up already. had to live with it.

somebody said the screen becomes less sensitive after applying idefense's SP? yea i notice the same thing too. but didn't mind it that much. still can scroll lol.

if you didn't want to use mcafee, what antivirus are you using?

i've tried settings reset before, coz i wanted to delete saved predicted words (typed some words that are really um, inappropriate), but didn't work :@. and if not mistaken resetting will reinstall bundled apps as well.

turned out it only saved words that you type using vkeyboard, not physical keyboard.

for iDefense, i think it's lifetime warranty, so if you wanna change for a new one, you can email the pic of current iDefense to tanalliance. but not sure under what condition you can get a new one.

i didn't reset the phone tu factory state, only settings. if you take a look under the privacy settings, it has two options: factory data reset and settings reset.

when i reset settings, it didn't erase latest updates. not sure about factory data tho. but from the description, it says it will erase data from internal storage, including system n appln data and settings. so it maybe applies to the updates as well.
