Anyone with AP set here? Care to share which country is your unit and what's in the package?

What about Authorised set user? Care to share what's in the package? It comes with car charger right? What else?
And the authorised set is from which country?

AP Set also have the same thing? Cause I check from dealer in lowyat, he say local/authorised set have extra freebies. AP set and Authorised set has more than RM200 difference currently (previous RM300++ difference; drop over RM100 in about 1 week); Or wait longer for the price to stabilize.

I think you can check from the packaging or any sticker, but maybe can only check where it's made. One of the dealer I found mentioned their set is SG set, but other dealer said depend on the stock when they collect, can be euro, or other countries.

Thanks for the information; This month got Christmas promotion (LYN Front page)... can consider get authorised unit and price will be revised.

Thanks. I like SE UI/Layout as well and their phone design is also more unique and nice than the rest.

I think mainly due the the hardware specs and offerings, if not I think more people would prefer SE? As I know, in the past, most people prefer SE, but probably it's fallen behind in terms of the specs and so on. It's catching up, hope to see brighter future. after all, it's one of the company which makes nice handphones.

I think maybe also the specs, up to date, still no dual core for SE and the internal storage also fall short. The design is there, the UI/Layout is nice, and they've catch up on the OS updates. Maybe next year things will slowly change better, but there'll be no more "ericsson".

Yup, prefer the Ori set as well, just that the price diferences is a lot; but the Christmas promo + revised price is worth it, kinda of set back the price against AP set.

Depends on the game; it also depends on the GPU.

My understanding:
Games can be optimize for certain hardware, but for Android, too many different hardware, they may not provide for all.
If you see Sony PSP, it's running at 233 Mhz; but PSP is standard hardware, they basically just need to optimize for one similar hardware.

So, it doesn't mean you have 1.5Ghz or dual core, you sure can run any games smoothly. If optimize, maybe it only required very low spec to run smoothly... Just like emulator, you may find as they update newer version, it can emulate the games smoother and better, even you're using the same hardware.

Ori set, Promo should be RM1299 + Free VH-410 bluetooth... BUT... BUT... I check with few outlets, they have no IDEA about this promo despite it's starting TOMORROW, and their price is STILL RM1399.... What's worst... I call Sony Ericsson support, they also not sure only know which location will have (e.g. Sunway Pyramid), but ask them Pyramid got Sony Centre and Sony Ericsson store, which one, they also not sure?.... Instead of them checking and passing information, ended up Customer making calls here and there to check for them and confirm with them... in the end... they say HQ "NOT YET DECIDE"? But tomorrow starts wor...

How come so poor communication... The leftlet promo is printed in November, but seems most of the store didn't know about it. Maybe only lowyat store will know? Looking at the level of service, kind of worrying...
They did the nice leaflet, but seems the store/outlet is not well informed, it's not going to help them and it'll just hurt their reputation.

Makes me feel disappointed and maybe should just get AP and save over RM200++

I think that's not important cause they should have the IMEI data in their system. Warranty card is just a card, plus the dealer needs to register your device to activate the warranty, so they should have it in their system. If the dealer didn't do that, then they'll need the receipt instead cause warranty card, some people can fake the date (some dealer leave the date empty).

The main point is, is your unit authorised unit by Sony Ericsson Malaysia; Asking for warranty card is when they want to find trouble and make your process harder.

Transferring contacts is a headache, SMS is another headache part. After sync with social networks, so many duplicate contacts.

Overall, it's very nice experience, but I got myself AP set after disappointed with the service and going through calls between HQ and each retail outlet. I become more like their staff trying to find out and passing information to each outlet... give up and settled for AP set, was told it will be SG set, but seems the unit I got is TW set, and there's no HDMI cable.

Hm... Anybody know how to sort the contacts? (e.g. First Name, Last Name, or NickName? Or View Contacts As?)
and how to set a specific number as primary number (for those who have more than one number).
My colleague's HTC have all these options.

If you buy from authorised centre should be authorised unit; else I think you can call up SEM or their service centre and confirm your IMEI.

Yea, I can join, but I've got so many contacts, lol. Actually not really as much as those people who have hundreds/thousands over contacts in FB, but still a lot of work to join/merge one by one; My previous smartphone there's a contacts merger app, which intelligently merge for you, and those that in doubt, it will show up in the next screen for you to confirm or change the selection, it can match by contact, name, email, etc.
Not sure Android have, but I think there should have but not sure which is good cause the thing with many apps is, you don't know which to choose, hahaha

I use to send sms to groups of people, if we can group contacts and send sms to groups will be good. If there's 2 number for a particular contact, normally it'll prompt which number to send, so if there is primary contact will be great addition.

Authorised set supposed to come with full set, unless they took away yours.
The seller free me a 3rd party car charger, which I don't keen on using (have bad experience before). Since it's micro USB port, my previous phone original charger can also be used.

It's the same thing. AP set means authorised set in other country. All is original, just difference is where the unit is from.

One advantage of getting AP is if you can get a good country set, e.g. those that receive first update (and good built quality). e.g. HTC Incredible, Malaysia set no latest update yet, but some countries already have. So even you got authorised set, still need to wait.

AP set what you need to worry is probably the seller change the accessories or battery, or take away / reduce some accessories, etc. And if there is units which made in different country, then you might wanna get a better unit.
Oh, for Pro, with qwerty keyboard, for HK/TW/CN set, the keyboard got Chinese wording.

Mine I think is TW set. The Quick User Guide is in Chinese
The phone startup in Chinese... have to switch language, lucky is easy cause I'm "banana" (but not in pajamas)

It also comes pre-installed with few Chinese App, including the Chinese Social Network apps, which my colleague help to "translate".

I'm not sure which country more advance, need to check which country always get the latest updates. My HTC colleague asked me to get authorised set, but recently HTC Incredible got new update, but not for Malaysia, so now he's in between, haha. For me, surely would prefer authorised, but the price difference is a lot... and actually I also wanted to get authorised set with the christmas promotion, but their "service" level really make me disappointed. Finally get AP, save more than RM300, which I bought Class 10 32GB micro SD, and still have extra RM100 to spare for the iDefense Pro.

The warranty for AP does not cover LCD, and for accessory only for few months. The device got longer warranty, but rarely have issue. If have issue, it may take much longer time.

Yes, everything is included. During my checking, at first all the shops have no idea about this promo, end up I become middle person and check for them and communicate between the HQ and the shops. After some of the shop confirm have the sale, they also not sure got free bluetooth, when asked and said got, then they say "maybe" the other accessories will not be provided....
Seems they don't even know or have the leaflet, and it's already the promo day, end up force them to check with the HQ again and confirm everything got... such poor service.

SEM Ori Pro if buy from dealer (e.g. lowyat seller) is around RM1200 comes with standard SEM packaging (e.g. car charger, screen protector, etc.)
For the Xmas Promo which comes with free bluetooth headset, only participating outlets have, and the price is fix RM1299 (according to brochure/leaflet).

If buy from dealer or some shops, possible to nego more, but if can buy from SE Centres at RM1299 with free bluetooth worth RM159, so I think more worth to buy from SE Centres.

Not more than RM100? RRP is always very expensive, or buy from Sony or SE Centre.
You can check other online seller selling how much, and match their price else you can hardly sell it unless you find customer who are not active in forum or web, e.g. those that buy from Sony or SE Centre or buy at RRP price.

AP does not have HDMI cable also, so that's more value for Authorised set.

I will prefer authorised, although I get AP, but that's because of the disappointment with the service and feedback receive when I trying to deal and check with them. For others, I will still suggest Authorised set.
Just that sometimes, when you experience some bad/poor service, you will feel indifferent.
I got AP and the additional money I got a 32GB class 10 microSD and still have extra RM100 to spare for iDefense Pro.

Is this the RAM, how come it's not 512MB in total? Is it 200MB++ reserved for OS?

512MB supposed to the be RAM. I check my friend's Incredible S, his device RAM should be about 768MB, but the total RAM available in the "RUNNING" tab doesn't seem to sum up as well. Wondering is it reserved for OS so didn't display.

The 320MB user available should me the storage space for user; Not really sure about Android, there should be allocated space for apps and such, and finally the remaining for user's files.

Can we upload photo into Facebook Albums?
I think I remember seeing this option somewhere when I first explore the phone, but now I can't seem to find this option or feature?

Is it because of the new updates? Because since I bought, there's update for Pro as well as FB App.

And the Google+ widget seems missing? I think after update or something.

Update to mobile upload folder is default. Would want to upload to different albums, create albums. They should also implement size or quality to upload.
