We bid farewell to a Striking Legend, a player that embodied finesse, pure talent, and most of all fighting spirit. He sustained numerous career threatening injuries and everytime he came back to score goals, to amaze. He shall not be remembered for his weight as it is due to hypothyroidism, an illness which slows metabolism, and that to control it, medications which are considered illegal in football have to be taken. He shall be remembered for his skills and that at his peak, he will put most of the top strikers to shame..

Adios Il Fenomeno! notworthy.gif cry.gif

A legend, its a shame that the elusive Champions League medal is not inside his impressive collection of personal honours and medals though

And what actually happened in the final match against France during the 1998 World Cup?

Best striker in the world.

Sucks to play a defender against him when he is still fine and young and in fact even if he plays now he still will look good.

One more fact, ronaldo is one of the few players to play for 2 pairs of rivalry
Barca vs real madrid, inter vs milan..

And the only player that has scored at least once against the respective rival

His hattrick at Old Trafford and the standing ovation given by everyone in the stadium when he was substituted. Fans knew they saw something special in the stadium that day.

One of the most feared strikers the game has ever had the privilege of witnessing. His silky touches and venomous goalscoring abilities are one of a kind. Here's to one of the most complete strikers ever. Cheers Ronaldo.

i grew up watching his generation of players, and i have to say he was the world's greatest in my eyes. had some nasty injuries but got back up.

just wondering, why did he move to inter after having that one great season at barca?

and anyone remember who was the #9 at inter when ronaldo first joinedd. coz i noticed he was wearing the #10 at first.

this man is a true #9. what a phenom.

Truly one of the greatest football player of this century. I truly loved him with his speed and agility even though he looked bulky. On his best days, he can take any defenders with ease. There is truly no one like him.

One of the players who do the talking on the pitch. Hate to see you go Ronaldo, but you will forever be an inspiration to all.

its unfair to compare c.ro and messi to Ronaldo Luiz now though,
give messi and c.ro another 5-6 years, they would equal Luiz Ronaldo stats maybe better

but having said that its all about Ronaldo Luiz this week notworthy.gif
lots of defenders would pee in their pants, lari lintang pukang, when he do his step overs
it is painless for defenders when he scores, because it happens so fast asthough nothing ever happened

Because Inter met the buy out clause. Actually Ronaldo wanted to stay, but only if Barca offered him new contract, with wage increment of course. Barca refused, and he was sold off. He is not remembered with fondness at Barca, but he was remembered for this:
