attractive football for me is when the team has high teamwork, pace with the ball, score some beautiful goals and some individual brilliance.
for me,some of brilliant football team i watched are: 1)arsenal the invincibles.that's what made me fall in love with this team. 2)mourinho's first season in charge of chelsea.joe cole, gudjohnsen, damien duff.whenever you see them do counter attack, you can expect goal. 3)barcelona en route to paris 2006.ronaldinho's brilliance against juve and chelsea. 4)mark hughes's man city with bellamy-tevez-ade.see them tore arsenal apart at eastland.heartbreaking it is,but they played brilliantly. 5)liverpool 2008/2009.the season when gerrard and torres become the most dangerous pair in epl. 6)spain the euro champ.they played better than the world champion team imo.
and yes.crunching tackles are not beautiful.football is not rugby.

QUOTE(kuaLe_AGX @ Feb 16 2011, 01:16 PM) this and u should add the Netherlands team of Euro 2008 under Marco Van Basten who trash both Italy & France with 3-0 & 4-1 respectively. *btw in 2006 its shud be Barca vs Milan, not Juve...where Ronnie score after great pass from Giuly IINM my bad.i didn't watch the dutch team back then. haha.thanks for correcting me.i miscalculated the year.ronnie's brace that i watched against juve was on 2004/2005 because i watched it during my spm study leave.

QUOTE(bone_me @ Feb 16 2011, 02:04 PM) i define attractive football as:- 1. high tempo, with urgency to score 2. more through balls, less direct pass 3. trickeries like one-twos, back heel, nutmeg 4. flair players running and dribbling with pace and its not about the numbers of goals, a 1-0 game can be more attractive than a 3-3 scoreline. yeah.i heard man utd vs spurs was great even though it end up 0-0.both trying to score but couldn't find the net.

QUOTE(verx @ Feb 18 2011, 10:43 AM) Possession football isn't boring. It's tempo that makes a game boring not style. As long as the tempo is high enough possession football can be very attractive to watch. Besides the best football teams throughout history are the ones that kept possession well. agreed.when u pass the ball around but the tempo is high and opponents just can't steal the ball from you, that's when the game become entertaining.but you pass the ball around in your own area without entering the opposition area,it become boring as hell.
