it was boring as hell when watching Spain during the world cup.
for me, i go for counter attack...split second and the ball either in the 3rd half or at the back of the net.
not sure whether crunching tackle is consider a beauty. Not to me...
I'm the opposite actually. With reference to the World Cup, I enjoyed watching Spain and Germany play. Can't fault Spain for keeping possession because they are just so good at it. Spain can pass the opposition to death and it is near impossible getting the ball of them. The quickness and crispness of their passing as well as the movement off the ball is what I like. Not surprising that they were the bookies favourites to win the World Cup especially after how they mauled everyone in the friendlies prior. I remember how the went to France and hit 4 goals past them. It has been awhile since Germany relied so much on young players and I think it began back when Klinsmann was in charge during the World Cup before. it was boring as hell when watching Spain during the world cup.

Having said that I do also like counter attacking teams because the game is played at a higher tempo.
I think that in summary, I like watching teams that play positive football and who aren't afraid to take risks at the back by committing men forward.
