am thinking of getting my Insight... but am wondering if my sound system (speakers/amp) can be moved to the Insight.

anybody know if it's OK to hook up a 4channel amp to the existing Insight DIN player... and if it effect the power motor/hybrid battery?

I'm also curious to know why such a car @ the 100k price range does not come with a boot lamp (to light up the boot area).

I went to take a look yesterday @ showroom but couldn't spot a boot light (unless it's hidden somewhere and I missed it).

Any existing Insight owners can confirm?

wonder if anyone considered putting LED daytime running lights... at the spot where the foglights are? (below the number plate area, near the front skirting).

think it would look quite nice!

I checked around Penang island and mainland areas in different Honda dealerships, so far I found a pretty good deal for Insight (seems to be best so far) @ mainland area:

FOC stuff:
1. LLumar tint (dunno which range). SA said it's worth RM1100
2. Rubber mats
3. Boot organizer
4. Honda umbrellas
5. RM900 free service vouchers (catch: only RM50 voucher can be used each service visit, and must service @ this specific Honda center)

Car (white) in stock, can arrive next week. SA will try chase my car loan @ 2.6% (public bank), over 7 yrs.

Wonder if this is a good deal. You guys elsewhere got better ones?

I'm just wondering if it's too good to be true (so must get everything B&W from the SA, and ask him to sign/chop official Honda chop -- that way, I will bind him in written agreement (coz we all know SAs will say/promise anything right?)

Hi guys! OK, after doing some more phone calls (my phone bill gonna hit d roof this mth hahaha).... this deal above really is the best.

I am going to confirm w/the SA tmrw aftn. After I confirm and place booking/sign cheque then only he will confirm actual date of delivery. He has committed that if I want the car (white color), it can be delivered in < 3 wks. He'll only reconfirm again after I book (must be sneaky tactic).

So, let's see how long I have to wait. I am in no rush anyway... so if it takes 1 mth also I'm OK to wait.

On the loan, SA's managed to get me RHB 7yr loan @ 65k @ 2.55%. Not bad deal. Best in market so far. RHB will call me tmrw to confirm also.

does anyone know what is the bulb type for the Insight's projector headlamp (blueish corner one) + the main headlights? H4? H7? H3?

yeah, i guess i'm lucky.... my SA is a good friend so he can pull some strings. plus, i think demand at his outlet is not as high as the other main dealers, so they can give out cars faster.

still, it's all sales talk... i will know if he keeps his word in 1-2 weeks

Financial update: I got offer from RHB bank @ 68k @ 7yrs @ 2.6%.

Then 2 days later Muamalat Bank counter-offer @ 2.4% (difference almost RM1k savings in interest!).

So as a consumer I will obviously go lower. But first, I will call up RHB and let them know their competitor offered me X rate. Then see if they can counter-offer again.

This is tiring but fun.

use semi-syn enough lah... esp w/5k change interval. more than sufficient. i would prefer changing cheaper oil (semi-syn) more frequently v.s. fully-syn for 10k

so expensive meh?? that's really hard to believe, man. given the amount of glass is about the same as any other C segment car.

tmrw i'll call my glass repair shop and ask for a 2nd opinion...
