Just got my Insight yesterday ! pearl white with v-kool secure 8mil tinting..  GPS and smartag works fine with V-Kool. V-Kool costs me rm 2,850. No complaints about heat rejection but I've yet to leave the car out in the sun yet.

I took the car out to cameron highlands and did over 600km already in the last 24 hours ! With 4 passenger load going to cameron, I got around 580km on a full tank running on Econ mode.

Does anybody have any complaints about the Bridgestone tyres? And btw, there is no auto-lock while u're driving the car, only when you leave the car parked. Nevertheless I love everything about the car and how smooth the ride is.

Great to hear from Happy insight owner sharing their experience ... rclxms.gif

I only started refueling when the Fuel indicator was ON. Bear in mind, the Insight has 6.9 litre spare tank  and I didnt use the spare tank. Of course if I were to continue driving using the spare tank, the car could easily go another 100km.. i would have reached almost 700km.
*
I thought full tank can go over 1000km easily if drive eco-ly?

I do my math... based on 4.4ltr/100km - max will go 909km / Full tank (40liter). Never will ever reach 1000km, is my false impression.. hmm.gif
Am I correct?

I remember someone in the forum mentioned that the service cost for honda insight is same as honda city. Even my SA told me so. But yet the Honda website is still reflecting higher service cost for servicing Insight as compare to City.

This make me uncomfortable. unsure.gif Anyone can confirm?

loan approved @ 2.69% public bank for 85% loan for 9 years. SA said next month deliver pearl white .. hope is real and not last minutes using the excuse of the devastating quake for delay.

Bye bye my honda city vtec ... it served me good for 5 good years. I will be missing you. smile.gif

Change from city to insight how u feel?

Not much excitement though. Pretty the same. Probably the car size/performance is similar to city. If change to Accord, then might be a different story.. haha.

i think becoz using it in town, a lot of stops / start is made, acceleration from stop using lots of fuel, want to park also use lots of fuel, if on highway just little pressing on pedal to accelerate, i noticed if i used highways the km/l number is a lil bit higher
*
I thought its a better car for city driving? Cos when eco on, no fuel used when stop?

Based on the feedback regading Honda Insight's FC from the existing owners here, it seems like the results were so much different compared to the paper fact values.  cry.gif

Fuel consumption (based on honda japan):
Honda City : 20km/l
Honda Insight : 26km/l
*
Can be achieved if u drive really eco-ly. But better drive a van then...lol

Found out something interesting over the weekend.

Say if it is raining and you are turning on the FRONT wiper. The moment you engage Reverse the REAR wiper will wipe once, to clear the view for you to reverse.. biggrin.gif
