i think becoz using it in town, a lot of stops / start is made, acceleration from stop using lots of fuel, want to park also use lots of fuel, if on highway just little pressing on pedal to accelerate, i noticed if i used highways the km/l number is a lil bit higher

QUOTE(iTrump @ Mar 19 2011, 01:14 PM) yup, that is true, however, when u release ur break the car restarts the engine, i think that consumes more fuel, therefore if a lot of stops, the car will have to restart engine more frequent tooThis post has been edited by pAcAq: Mar 19 2011, 01:53 PM |

QUOTE(hairi.ariff_11 @ Mar 19 2011, 07:17 PM) if u r saying only in terms of 1.3 litre car,yes it is expensive, my sm4 accord 2.0 can get around rm10k, but there are lots of factor in it as well, such as cbu unit (usually priced more than ckd unit), hybrid (usually hybrid is more expensive, this is the cheapest available hybrid car, civic hybrid is also 1.3l but priced more) |

QUOTE(westlife @ Mar 21 2011, 02:12 AM) manual calculate should never be more accurate number because it does not take into the account, when ur car is stopped and the petrol is consumed for aircon etc. i really beg to differ, if using my experience and rough calculations:honda fuel consumption meter takes into account of everything, it should be the most accurate calculation. 1. fill up full tank 2. use the car 3. fuel meter about half, used about 330+km 4. fill up the tank again, almost rm 30, lets say it is rm 30 5. and lets say fuel is about rm2 per liter, so used up about 15 liter 6. thats about 22km/l, on the f/c meter (and i reset trip A after filling up fuel) it says 17.9 km/l...and if calculate as correct as possble, the f/c shud be more This post has been edited by pAcAq: Mar 21 2011, 07:42 AM |

QUOTE(watonk @ Mar 24 2011, 04:37 PM) One question to owners, ive tried this before, but u have to switch gear to p to start engine, or not u'll get the honk by behind vehicle, but i think it is better to turn off econ when in traffic jam, or put gear to neutral n pull the handbrake to not stopping the aircond, especially when it is freakin hotWhen we stop to park the car, the engine will auto-stop. Let say we didnt let go the brake pedal, the engine will stay shut. Can we just switch off the ignition and just let the engine continue shutdown from the auto-stop? Any problem when restart the engine later on? Any effect on the auto-stop system u think? |

QUOTE(kelvintkw87 @ Mar 24 2011, 08:23 PM) Bro's and sifu's sekalian, paiseh I go off topic for a while ya.. i dont mind as long as a questionnaire provided with choices of answers, or else how is she to collect dataDo you guys mind helping out a lady friend of mine who is doing her Masters research on the factors influencing the purchase of hybrid cars in Malaysia. Basically it is about why people will want to buy hybrid cars. The results of the research can help in determining why people would want to buy hybrid cars such as the HIH, and perhaps can give you an idea on how to maintain/sell your cars in the future. This research is targeted at owners of hybrid cars, potential owners of hybrid cars that intend to purchase a hybrid car in the near future and all individuals that are interested to buy hybrid cars. Really hope everyone can pitch in here Really sorry for going off topic.. But please help support our students! |

QUOTE(psyeo @ Mar 24 2011, 09:10 PM) Bro, is 100% exemption from import duty and excise tax i know that my wife was not trying to open the door, in fact she is the one asked me to lock with remote, but ultrasonic sensor just...WOWOne of the key reason for me as well. Added on March 24, 2011, 9:14 pm Nope, is not there, unlike CRV and Civic. There is nothing near the map light. I guess the reason why the alarm was triggered mentioned earlier by pAcAq, alarm was armed and his wife try to open the door from inside? |
