Though I'm not using a2sd+ (I'm using data2sd), but yes, you can still use the phone even in usb disk drive mode. Of course, I've only tried this in windows, not linux and since windows dont recognize ext file system, it doesn't mount that partition. I'm too lazy to boot linux to try it.
