I myself am a PS fan too, had played tons of PS1 and PS2 games
but N64 is one of the most successful console from Nintendo, should give it a try smile.gif

But desire ram was too low..  and can't play multi touch game!!
*
Desire's RAM is actually the top among all the other phones of its generation, that is until DHD came out

QUOTE(LuffyPSP @ Mar 9 2011, 07:02 PM)
if Desire has 1 GB internal memory, front camera i am satisfied enough. grrr~~~~ now i'm considering of trading it in with SGS2. but meh i'll buy an iphone 4. haha!!

Well Desire's time will be finished but dont worry it'll become a legend like Nexus One. Dont feel ashamed, we are and we were the owners of a legend phone no matter what phones you'll jump to next. its time for a new phone era. SGS2 are the best so far i would say.

SGS1's super amoled already won against iphone 4's retina display, so i'm excited to the Super AMOLED Plus beat iphone 5. haha!! the hsdpa speed is 21mbps!! wtf with that!! and 1080p HD~~ grr phone of the year for me.
*
true.. even till now, the custom developer support for Desire is still one of the best. happy.gif

SGS2's launch has been pushed back to May, which means it might not be that interesting anymore,
by that time, competitors might come out with something better, especially Apple, the date of launch for iPhone 5 is really close

same rom average 1month and non-stop upgrade with new version whenever release from same developer.
MIUI is the longest rom I stay until now.
*
same for me, swapped a few ROMS before MIUI, now probably gonna stay with MIUI as long as there is no problem with it

Hi guys, anyone using psx4droid? i left it for a long time edy and now there is v2. need to buy again kah? damn it if yes cuz my credit card has reached its limit.

and anyone can suggest good games to play on gameboid, snesoid and psx4droid on Desire? and also a good site to download the roms. i mean the one that is easy to play on a touch screen, but fun and addicted.
*
there's a new PSX emulator now, called FPSE, its performance is very good, playing almost every game at 100% speed
IMO don't bother with PSX4droid

as for good games to recommend, I find that the best genre for touchscreen phones are usually Strategy RPG,
GBA has Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2, Fire Emblem
PSX has Final Fantasy Tactics, Hoshigami, Tactics Ogre
N64 has Ogre Battle 64

QUOTE(nick67 @ Mar 14 2011, 09:46 PM)
Got question. When I try to use psx4droid, it says "must specify bios file first, usually named......etc". What is this bios file??
*
SCPH1001.bin, you need to download it and put it into your SD card, then open up the emulator and browse for this file to specify it smile.gif

Desire is better hands down, SG Ace is not even in the same level
Even though Desire is not as hot now, you can't deny the fact that its one of the best phone smile.gif

HTC Desire AMOLED vs HTC Desire SLCD which 1 better? do i need charge 8 hrs for new htc desire??? any pro please help icon_question.gif
*
both has its pros & cons, it has been compared a lot of times. nod.gif

in terms of crispness, SLCD is better, it helps when you want to read the tiny little words.
AMOLED set would appear slightly blurry, however it is better in terms of contrast, which makes the screen more vibrant.
don't just simply assume that AMOLED is better just because its out of supply.

phantomash,
i already dload ff7 and file in .rar. i already extract and cannot find  .iso
how to make it .iso?
*
you don't need iso file, the emulator supports either .img or .bin file
if you get .ecm file, you need to un-ecm it using the ecm application
and there's also the .ccd and .sub file, just throw them in to the same directory as the .img / .bin file

and btw, I have no idea about cheat code sweat.gif
its better to not use cheat code anyway

Phantom,
Yeah..on cm also dont have much lag, cant say 0 lag though..
how about other games, such as zelda,007.have any lag?
super smash bro also less lag on cm..
*
yea, Zelda is lagging, I guess it is due to the emulator and has nothing to do with the ROM

btw, tyja, instead of getting SGS2, you might want to wait for this? brows.gif

a render of the rumored HTC Pyramid, some say it could be the next Nexus phone due to the back having the Google Logo and no HTC logo on it

but the specs are rumored not very good compared to SGS2 or Atrix~~ but if its the next Nexus, i am so getting it for sure cuz CM loves Nexus devices~~
*
I don't know if the rumored spec is true, but it is rumored to have Adreno 220 as its GPU (MSM8660 SoC), and that thing is a BEAST flex.gif
take a look at its power, here

while Adreno 205 is almost on par with PowerVR SGX540 on the Hummingbird (but still loses out slightly), Adreno 220 is claimed to be several times more powerful than Adreno 205
and so far the demo of this GPU shows that the graphic rendered can be on par with Xbox 1's graphic.

QUOTE(ben_ang @ Mar 19 2011, 10:20 AM)
just wanna check with u guys, u guys flash ur ROM is abt improved performance or its just the sake of being updated with the latest build?

i mean, u can have gingerbread or even honeycomb ROM developed for desire but, can the hardware take it? would u rather sacrifices speed just
to hav a latest build? (if the ROM is stable n usable, just slower)

I've flash some ROM with my old WM device before, due to the hardware limitation, it can use latest ROM but with lagging/slower speed.. which is annoying to me..
*
improved performance, features, and stability.

I don't know about WM ROMs,
but for Android's almost every newer version is a better version,
unless the developer wanted to try something new, in which you can choose to skip the update of course.

and there's no "official" hardware requirement on Gingerbread or even the later versions,
even HTC Wildfire which has less powerful spec than the Desire is able to run Gingerbread smooth as butter,
in fact, it is smoother than the stock ROM.
