what kind of many security issue?
so far what I heard is gingerbread have security issue that highlight also in engadget. hacker have chance to break it in...
somehow, I don't save any confidential or important banking details in my phone. better than sorry...

I got the desktop docking from morsales.com.my.
can charge and extra spare battery together.
usb to pc too....

got 1, usually Sense ROM bigger. ASOP rom smaller after installation. you can check the /syatem size to compare each time you try different rom.

rooting, partition, flash any rom, flash recovery, etc.. anything wrong, no worries. as long you have pc and usb cable
but S-OFF is more advanced thing, is actually modified the HBOOT, something like board bios. if the moment S-OFF, ur pc hang or power off.
possible it gonna brick the phone. but if you follow the steps carefully, with latest version of s-off which are very stable. it's not scary at all.

so, understand first the advantage of s-off, are you really need it and understand? then go ahead. for me, I s-off so we can choose the recommended system partition or custom table we like. I have 303MB internal memory, happy with it.. compare to stock user, only have 147MB internal memory.

true. so normally new user are encourage just stay with stock. most of user will start experience following in sequence.
ppl start hunting and question when starting complaining out of space, then this is the time you start root the phone, start thinking any custom sense rom and trying xda folk script like firerat a2sd, data2ext, data2whatever, etc... to explore more free space solution....

after boring with sense rom, start trying ASOP rom. when we using asop rom, then you will ask why there is pretty of unused free space which is unusable. then this is the time for s-off and cMTD... anything else? please share your experience

no problem. s-off just turn off htc security. after s-off, we can always adjust the system partition table anytime by just flash the table which are suitable with the rom you want to; while remaining s-off.

there is a table partition ready special for Oxygen, CM7. MIUI user can use N1 table.

/system hboot table size design:
Oxygen = 90M
CM7 = 130M
after you complete flash the rom you want, check QSI. what is the size show for /system? you will know which hboot table can fit...

MIUI rom also have the LED light mod in setting. so we can change blue, green, ....
no need handcent, native rom sms can have blue too..

oh... the led light will stay until you read the message.

oh.... the feature are build ready in the miui setting, no need mod anymore. user friendly GUI that everyone can understand.
MIUI Android 2.3.3 is coming very soon with new version UI. waiting waiting...

long time din follow up on leedroid thread. not sure he is working on gingerbread or not. have to check if the schedule are ready.
as for MIUI, every release of each version; the developer are collect feedback. i guess there must be a a lot of user ask for 2.3, including me.
so they expedite working on that now.

you can actually ignore the iphone style docking launcher. use LauncherPro Plus or ADW EX instead that everyone like.
then the ios icons even simple, the build in theme manager are so easy and convenient.
I just change to Android 3.0 HoneyComb theme as easy as we using in windows. no need flash the theme.

after some tweak, you wont notified this is MIUI from the home screen. unless you going spend some time on explore the setting.

ownhere is the developer write and build the data2ext script, quite nice if you're heavy apps installer, wakaka

beside MaxisMovie, there is 1 app called "KL Cinema Showtime" but i guess cannot online booking, just see the showtime.
Any more good suggestion?

those using 2.7.8, is latest but their server down. i guess already 3-4 days already..
hopefully they quickly resume back the server la...
