@luffy, you must shock on nexus s price. 2 years contract, phone price is 138sgd. Equal to rm300

they know that everyone who root their phone never care bout their software version...

Just got back from SIS Malaysia Service Center at Berjaya. The technician show me that if the rom number is not 2.13.707.7, it will be considered illegal ROM.

According to him that ROM is solely for Malaysia HTC Desire, so guys, for those who want to unroot back to RUU, please use the ROM that i mentioned above. And unfortunately, i couldn't find it over the web.

When we search the web and said that unroot to stock rom can send to warranty, it meant for the Europe country which are running like T mobile, voldafone like that and you can find their stock rom in the web. but not for SIS malaysia rom

You better check with SIS, i unrooted THIS rom to send for warranty and you know what happen next!! warranty voided!!!

I will have to check whether it is .2  or 7. i think i saw someone here posted that he unrooted to 2.13.707.7. if true that is correct malaysia ROM, you should share where to download it.!!!

There is a clause i dunno where that once rooted the ROM, warranty voided. i couldn't argue with them since they know the rules more than me and even if i turn to tribunal court i think i will ended up being a loser with L.

I think it is SIS malaysia being cruel lar if we could unroot back to stock malaysia ROM, it think it shouldn't be a problem because so far they don't have a software to check whether the devise is being rooted before. They only check on the software.

Nope, i kantoi myself becoz i unrooted the wrong RUU stock ROM. i unrooted 3.29.xxxxx.

Ok guys..just got confirmation from my buyers who bought HTC DESIRE SIS SET.

The default software version is 2.13.707.1 and the next update version is 2.13.707.2. So, I can assume that the htc staff just bluffing about the 2.13.707.7 since they know that most user who root their phone did not take note bout their default software version

I am trying to root my Desire using Unrevoked, but at the final process, got an error.. it says that my firmware too updated..

My Build number is : 2.13.707xxxxxx

Any sifus can help in how to root my phone? Thanks

Hi, the Unrevoked kinda said done, but now the phone is in Recovery, and at the botton it says this

I assume you are using gold card. otherwise you cannot unroot to that version..

So the conclusion, we still safe to send warranty to SIS, if you are unroot back to correct version. SIS will accept warranty if you are using version 2.13.707.1 (stock rom) or 2.13.707.2 (OTA update) (If you buy from SIS la). Please take note that there's no RUU for version 3.13.707.2. If you still want to have this version, unroot back to *.1 version then update *.2

If I remember correctly, system will prompt error if you try to unroot to diff version. If you got an error, try to find another correct RUU.

The purpose of gold card here is as below.

If you already on OTA version (2.13.707.2), and then you perform rooting, you will face one problem where you cannot unroot back. This is because there's no RUU for 2.13.707.2 yet. This is where gold card take place. It will let you unroot back by using RUU 2.13.707.1. Then only you are safe to send warranty.

Hey guys!
Noob here (with HTC phones). I'm a proud owner of SGS and I know it like the back of my hands. I know how to root, install custom roms, etc.

Long story short: my friend ask me to help him root his desire.
After reading a bit (xda and lyn), I'm clueless as hell! It seems Samsung gives less challenge for me unlike HTC.

So, I really need your help rooting his SLCD desire.

1 What software I need to flash (like Odin for Samsung phones)?

2 What kernel is the fast, full-featured and stable (like Speedmod kernel of SGS)?

3 can't i just skip rooting, and just flash miui or CM7 (SGS doesn't have to be rooted to flash any rom or kernel)?

sis set must have 2.13.707.1/2.
