Maybe because rom are diff between these two : -

C7
Internal 8 GB storage, 256 MB RAM, 1 GB ROM

N8
Internal 16 GB storage, 256MB RAM, 512 MB ROM

No wonder C7 quite fast responsive... OK OK

as for as i know, ROM doesnt affect one.. it's the storage for you to store your firmware files...
