indeed, but i sent mine to somewhere for reballing, it still fail after awhile... so the best method i think still get a new 1 and maintain the machine time by time...

Ok I never sent it before to Sony, but I've called them before and they say they only accept Sony PlayStation 3 that purchased in Sony Centre MALAYSIA only and I've a fren bought it at there and send back to there. End up my friend told me that the price to fix it is better to just buy a new PlayStation 3 lololol...

Haha i called them today and they asked to bring it in. Does that mean they are accepting PS3's not bought from Malaysia?

if u not in a hurry to play games. Send to sony centre and quote for price. If u think is reasonable then proceed. If not buy a new one.

So far I have had to purchase two Ps3s (some people might consider me lucky) as my old and trusty phat PS3 recently 'died' due to YLOD. All my PSN games, saves and torphies are in there and I still haven't removed the old HDD and imported the data to my new one. :/

I think if the YLOD happens again, I will leave the PS scene for awhile and come back once the PS4 prices have dropped more.
