my ps2 lasted since 2003 until now, LOL~ but many ppl told me that different console have different hardware and different build so they said cant compare LOL~

btw regarding the warranty thingy, ok if u get SG set, it will be cheaper 100 or maybe 200, so wat u nid to do IF there are problems with the ps3, so u hav to send back by paying postage fee maybe 20-50 and u hav to wait due to postage or send to the shop or bla bla thingy then they have to send to SG and wait the procedure bla bla bla again then send to the shop and to u.

For convenient, u pay extra then IF there are problems wit ur MY set then juz send to Malaysia Sony retail shop, then wait, then done adi, then pick up settle... XD

haha bro there is no pirate ps3 slim either... anyway RM900 slim ps3 is SG Set. With this price u cant get any MY set.

usually i think its worth... example u bought a RM900 sg set... IF THERE IS PROBLEM WITH YOUR PS3... like wat u said normal charge 50-80, but u bought original set for 11XX around... it is cheaper 100 bucks around if ntg happened it will be cheaper 200 bucks... but usually wont hav any problem... like my 1st fat ps3 does not hav any problem on the 1st year, my 2nd slim ps3 that sold out has no problem at all juz 1 month over a year and my 3rd slim ps3 near to half year also does not any problem also...

never experience b4, but theoritically yes it shuld last even longer. Maybe u can consider come to Subang USJ to make that, deyamato offer repairing service at there...

ntg much to scare about u juz touch whether izit very hot at the back? if reli hot or if the fan running loud, then u shuld suggest take to maintenance... actually it is quite easy... wat u nid to do is juz take everything out clean it and reapply the thermal. thermal is to transfer heat from the processor or gpu to the heatsink also known as smtg to release the heat so that can maintain the processor in a lower temperature.

btw ur 2 previous ps3 is fat or slim?

lol my fat ps3 play ffxiii from morning until night, then i platinum it with 1 month time, almost everyday 4-6 hours... somemore tat time i played blur multiplayer from day to night + downloading stuff overnight... 2 years died... Zzz

u can look for someone that juz posted id name HeroesTavern or if u interested i would recommend deyamato to fix ylod, early sign still can recover but it will fail eventually...

depends on the person...

1. get a new 1 and transfer all the data to ur new ps3
2. fix it and let it last another few months/1 year/few weeks/few days? depends on luck?

Yes I still remember there are some shops still selling bunch of limited edition ps3, amyeay jus wait for the slimmer ps3, it think it will consume lesser power compare to the current slim anyway is quite good enough that ur fat ps3 last 4 years coz there are many user use less than that.

Actually is not that fast, look back at consoles history, usually takes 6 years to change a new generation console, while ps3 has lasted 6 years...maybe it might be different this time...

Previously my fat 1, put under chair without air cond, put on the bed, usually on the table of coz and usually without air cond.

Sometimes we hav no choice also, coz usually fix is not permanent and has to change 1 new.

I not reli sure, but i think open air-con will help, 1 of my fren put the ps3 in a cupboard and everytime he play open aircond, and his FAT PS3 lasted 5-6 years...

yeah tat 1 is the reheat method, it wont last long as i mention b4, but it might last long depends on luck...

every ps3 is consider problematic, it depends how u take care ur ps3, even my brother fren said me y so emo juz for a ps3, but when the person experience that problem, he/she will knows how we feel...

those are used unit, so I would always recommend juz go get a brand new set...

actually u shuld wait the slimmer ps3... that 1 reduce more power consumption and of coz the heat will generate lesser. Yeah bro u r rite, u shuld wait 1-2 years or 3 years to confirm that the machine is in good condition, once got any info that short term usage failure, then shuld wait for the new series of the console.

actually i wouldn't suggest send to reballing, it helps depends on luck, coz i sent mine to reballing as well, but it didn't last long, like weeks only, but might last long as well as i said it depends on luck, anyway save the money juz get a new 1... dont 1 2 waste uncessary money on reballing IF the problem occur again, if u want to take back the files, just use the reheat method cheap cheap like RM80 someone did on lowyat and recover all the files and take it as a collection or sell it off as parts... LOL~ anyway regarding my reballing issue, i not sure those technician really did their job on REBALLING, but still i think the best way is to change a new 1...

Bro u sure that it can last long? If u reli can, I would gladly recommend ppl to let u fix it and will send mine for u to fix as well, if it reli last long, is not that im doubting ur words, but I would like to see what would said by the customer, coz I used to send mine to this fella they did show some of the picture of their recalling machine and the soldering that looks like tiny balls rite? Because I hav ask some other technician they said that even reballing or change the gpu might last long and it might not...

Actually I did research on this, correct me if I'm mistaken, leaded soldering is not good to the environment that is why they have to use lead free soldering, but I not sure whether there is good and bad quality lead free soldering... Lol
