QUOTE(R.Y.D.E.C.K @ Apr 4 2011, 10:45 AM) if you put adjustable or Semi-bucket Seats maybe i will kena racun QUOTE(mrl @ Apr 4 2011, 10:49 AM) According to singchaii last time, our car with Siemen's ECU won't be work... QUOTE(singchaii @ Apr 4 2011, 10:51 AM) Yeah. I heard that too. But i still thinking between emanage and unichip. E manage, easy to find tuner while unichip only few shop can tune. GL4 only the sc use. 75w90. Not all sc using the same. Maybe due to different ecu. But if you plan to play piggyback, then that thing is useless. singchaii should be afford this Unichip, since he bought the adjustable and Pioneer HU cost him almost the same price... I won't invest on standalone ECU for the time being, becoz fuel price expensive now... by the way, that day first time over-fill fuel till leak out ... |

QUOTE(R.Y.D.E.C.K @ Apr 4 2011, 02:34 PM) like those Singaporean goyang-goyang the car boot in order to fill in more petrol huh? QUOTE(singchaii @ Apr 4 2011, 03:16 PM) It only reset back to 0 is PDT was cucuk into the OBD 2 socket. Your's ECU not Siemen meh? Your ecu is siemen ecu? Not continental? Haha.. I wan to invest on piggyback because of the fuel price. Because with stock ecu, you can maximize using RON 97. But once using piggyback, you can maximize the performance using RON 95 tuning and even can get better performance that using RON 97. Kira panjang, piggyback more worth. Added on April 4, 2011, 3:17 pm You mean piggyback cannot use ignition tuning? But PDT can adjust the ignition but locked with password. QUOTE(R.Y.D.E.C.K @ Apr 4 2011, 05:13 PM) nice nice, but i mao ini... ![]() |

QUOTE(kobe10 @ Apr 7 2011, 08:14 PM) I am using HLSF from AR racing. HWL make the whole thing for them and AR Racing is just a brand i think. Cause everything is the same. The stiffness is based on what spring you use. I never know adjustable is so much better than sport spring. I tune everything to the softess and my car if i'm alone its just like stock. Hahaha... But if you tune front hard and rear soft, cornering best and it wont be that hard. I am using 5 k front and 4 k rear. Dont compress the spring, dori dori did help me to adjust the spring and leaving some free space for it. It feels more comfort and my car will not bounce when go on normal road... so after re-adjust the setting, It solve the bouncy feeling when speeding @ 150km/h or above? |

QUOTE(jasondotcom @ Apr 8 2011, 04:51 PM) btw need to ask u guys here... why Proton recommends xW-30 engine oil on their Campro CPS models and thicker oils for Campro IAFM?? the Block is the same, These two engines are basically 100% the same on the engine block (and its internals) except for the rest that comes attached to it. so basically if i were to use xW-30 lube on a Campro IAFM, it can be used and safe as well right? but the Head/Camshaft is different. lighter engine oil is to ensure the smooth lubricant flow to enable the CPS System. xw-40 grade engine oil still recommended for Campro engine. The Cam Profile Switching (CPS) system uses a trilobite camshaft to switch between two different cam profiles. One cam profile provides low valve lift, while the other cam profile has a high valve lift. The low valve lift cam profile is used at low to mid engine speeds to maintain idling quality and reduce emissions, while the high lift cam profile is used when the engine is spinning at mid to high engine speeds improve peak horsepower and torque. Unlike the other similar variable valve timing systems such as the Honda VTEC, the Toyota VVT-i and the Mitsubishi MIVEC which use rocker arm locking pins to change the valve timing, the CPS system uses direct-acting tappets with locking pins to change the valve timing and lift profile. SOS something to add: (Written by Drexchan in Autoworld forum) Campro CPS is different from the normal Campro in these few areas: 1: Entire engine head. Even the exhaust camshaft (which don't have switching function) is slightly longer than normal Campro. 2. Intake manifold, which features the variable length intake track. 3. Wiring, for extra functions such as the CPS solenoid and VIM motor, controlling relays, fuse, etc. 4. ECU, for new mapping. Mechanically, the bottom is almost identical but the CPS pistons skirt has a layer of oxide coating for better lubricity. The oil pump also has an integrated water cooled heat exchanger, which means the cooling system is also different. This post has been edited by ahpaul82: Apr 8 2011, 05:40 PM |

QUOTE The NEW PROTON ECU that i've mentioned in th post you quoted IS Siemens VDO lah..... by Drexchan @ HERESiemens VDO is now called Continental. so Siemens VDO is now called Continental? and singchaii, where is your ECU's photo ? Added on April 12, 2011, 10:12 pm QUOTE(jasondotcom @ Apr 12 2011, 11:15 AM) ok thanks for the replies dudes. Proton not bother to update the Owner Manual is it? btw i was reading thoroughly on the manual book the other day on the lubrication section and study on it. See this... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Recommended was xW-50 oil. Sooo thick!!! And the note was "Using oil with lower API classification will void warranty. " API service SJ or higher. Meaning thinner oil can be used as long as it meets the API classification. Most oils now stamped with API Service SL and the current ones SM. API SJ as its base requirement of the car is currently being phased out. API SL & SM & SN is newer and current. So based on the notes, it should be ok. Another site on API Classification http://www.pqiamerica.com/apiserviceclass.htm http://www.unitedoil.com.au/apiclass.htm This post has been edited by ahpaul82: Apr 12 2011, 10:12 PM |
