GL 4 is normal oil gear fluid while GL 5 is synthetic gear oil. Just like mineral oil and semi synthetic. GL4 oil thicker while gl5 oil is thinner. So using gl5 you will heard some noise during high speed.  For more corrosive, it might be but I didn't heard such thing before..

Im using eneos GL5 GB oil.. physically looks like "air gula" to me. While drain out old GB oil can see it thicker than GL5 oil.

I also heard about the corrosive problem but dont know weather true or not.

About the sound yes it may produce sound like wizzhing..to me it sound like touring car. after change new GB oil it easy to change gear every morning.

Open your front hood, then goyang you positive(+) terminal see it longgar or not.
