starting to feel that N900 is getting a bit slow for me..
Even when overclocked, sometimes it's just laggish, how come?
What I cant stand most are random reboots.. or is it coz the RAM is fully used? causing it to reboot? Hmm..

Firstknight : I reformat not too long ago.. roughly 4 months ago? or is it really been a long time? Hmm..

mashimarow : Maybe you are right too? I am overclocked to 1150max, but I think the voltage settings (ideal, ULV, those sort of settings) might be unsuitable.. Any suggestions on tweaking these settings?

Mine can last for roughly 2 to 4 days without restarting. Maybe.. this varies from phone to phone? Hmm..

Yup, Kernel-Power v49 and overclocked.
I'm amazed that you use your phone in stock settings. I guess performance varies from phone to phone.

Guys, I noticed something strange with my N900 after updating to KP49
I often pair my N900 to a bluetooth headphone to listen to music.
Sometimes I noticed after i finished listening and disconnected bluetooth,
my N900 heats up considerably.
This never happened before with KP48.
Anybody else experience this before?

Earlgay999 : Perhaps you can try the apt-get update command within the X-term? I think I encounter this problem before and this solve it for me. Perhaps you can give it a try?

suicideroach : You need to download an application named 'CSSU Features Configuration' to enable that option. Or at least that was how I did it.

My N900 just went out of action..

Yesterday I think something was wrong with the eMMC,
All my QueenBeacon widgets arent functioning and Media player shows no music and video.
But I can still find stuff on eMMC using file manager.

Then today morning, my N900 cant boot up.
Press powerbutton, shows Nokia hands, then shut off by itself.

Darn.. sad.gif

Nope. No drop, nothing at all.
I think it's gonna need a Full reflash.

And this have to happen right before I go back to Hometown..
What am I going to do without my N900 on a 4 hour bus journey!?

Will do. Thanks for you concern smile.gif

Added on January 17, 2012, 6:07 pmFor some reason, the flasher is not working.

I am using Windows7.
Installed Flasher-3.5
Got the right firmware files
installed the Nokia Connectivity cable driver (or something like that)

I follow the frontpage method of reflashing my N900.
I connect my N900 to PC,
press U and got the USB logo at the corner of screen.(but strangely screen is not lit up)
when I type the command : -F R.bin -f -R
press enter, and.. nothing happens?

Hmm....

Added on January 17, 2012, 6:09 pmNote : It did work the last time I try it but using Windows XP.

Got my N900 fixed.
Turns out, the problem is that my memory space for application is nearly full.
Like, 95% full.
It was so bad that it apparently cause my N900 to unable to boot up.
and cant find all my music and video in the mediaplayer.

After I uninstalled some applications, free up space it was ok again.
Yay! Dont have to retire my N900! smile.gif

I must agree with Dark_Angel 85,
Before I was using FB widget & Twitter widget and these 2 ate a lot of RAM
Causing my N900 to auto-restart after opening 5 browsers & above due to lack of RAM..
Took me awhile to figure out why my N900 kept auto-restarting.

BTW, I think some of you guys remembered I mentioned that I wanna make a short-film using videos recorded using the N900?

It nearly become vaporware, but guess what? It's done!
Uploading it to Youtube right now. Will share the link when it's done!

Added on April 14, 2012, 5:52 pmIt's done! This is a video I made that I'd like to share with you guys.
Here's the link :

All recorded using the N900 & edited using Windows Live Movie Maker.
Suggestions & Criticisms (if any) are welcomed smile.gif

Guys, I would like to share an incident about my N900 with you all.
Beware : It's a rather nasty incident.

My confession :
3 days ago, I threw my N900 against a wall.

because of my bad temper and other factors at that time, and suddenly my N900 crashed & auto-rebooted on me (probably due to lack of ram and I am frequently angered by this) that was when I went crazy and threw my N900 against the wall infront of me. The wall was roughly 1 meter away and I threw my N900 pretty hard, with no casing attached.

The N900 did not break apart, but everything came off, battery cover, battery, even the stylus. It now has a nasty scratch at the edge of the screen's chassis, and the upper part of the screen's chassis is a little bit bent out.

To be frank, I am surprised when afterwards I put everything back together again and everything works just fine EXCEPT that I broke the camera focus motor, causing the camera to unable to focus, but I i still can take photos.

Good old tough Nokia. I felt kinda bad afterwards for doing this and the N900 earned new found respect from me.. Amazing tough hardware I must say.. any other regular modern smartphone would have had their touchscreen broken with such a force.

A big sorry for my N900!

Guys, are anyone experiencing any problem booting up the phone after updating to kernel power 51?

My N900 was fine and all until I updated to KP51 And decided to reboot it. It did boot up to the home screen and rebooted itself before any icons and widget are loaded.. and this repeats..

Any idea of what's wrong? I didn't find anybody talking about this problem in maemo forum..
