QUOTE(retro_rave @ Apr 15 2011, 06:39 PM) ok... so that really shows something isn't right with my unit. hmm.... maybe i shud go back to the shop that i bought the battery from. Nope. There are few of us here running heavily modified Maemo 5 on N900.The better your tweak your OS the better your battery life will become. Anyway do try changing to another battery. But always go for Nokia's original 1320mA battery. Most of the 3rd party battery don't have the exact current charge as they advertised. Do read this thread : http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=65568

I didn't mod my phone at all, and I turn brightness to max, 3G, wifi and gps on all the time, quite heavy use with gaming, browsing, phone, sms, and yet I can still last for 12 hours.
Definitely something not right with your battery, mine is AP set too

You need to rip out the battery case to test it.I think there's wiki entry for testing electronic material with multimeter.

Need help. My N900 is giving me problem: 1. Draining battery power-morning full charge and within 6-8 hours, almost red bar. All the time onStandby mode only. I have 2 batteries-both the same problems so i think something wrong with phone.
2. N900 can't stay off. Within 6 secs, it vibrate then dim logo appears then off again then start all over without booting up. Another thing, difficult to on back. I tried removing the battery. When put back, the phone immediately vibrate and start the above loop.
3. Sometimes, when I disconnect from USB connection, the USB logo remains eventhough not connected. I can't off the N900 if the USB logo still there.
4. Sometimes, even when i did not connect the charger, a message appears saying not charging.
5. And sometimes when connect charger, the phone is not charging.
Maybe something wrong with the USB/Charging point.
I have reflashed the phone a few times but problems persist. I also tried the CSSU.
Thank you.

Don't buy all the so called high capacity and state that it's 1800mah or whatever like Sunglobal. I think other forummer tested and it's equal to the original battery capacity or even lower in actual. Go for original battery though more expensive but worth the money. Don't be penny wise pound foolish
