Hi guys, how much a rubber case for n900? I want to buy a case that allows me to use the hardware keyboard without taking the handset out of the case.
*
Having the N900 for about 2 years now... Gone through some real rough handling (no thanks to me) and I can tell you, that bladdy brick is looking as pristine as ever. Gotta give it to Nokia for some of the best hardy hardware I've ever seen on a smartphone.

QUOTE(alvchen80 @ Jan 9 2012, 01:58 PM)
i doubt it, since i have it fully charge and it lasts as normal. however, when i go into screenlock, the green lights stays lit. i'm afraid it might have something to do with kernel power or something..before this i did the battery patch thingy
*
A reflash should always solve a software problem. Kernel power should not be an issue. If it is, then the logical solution is to not install it, run it and see if the problem still persists. The batterypatch by karam does have mixed reviews by different users so I also recommend you install it without anything else installed and test run it for a week to see if it still persists. If not, then that should eliminate that as an issue. If neither one of these works, then it's a hardware problem i.e. battery.... or your device is just faulty...

Good luck

Agree with Dark_angel.. A FULL reflash would solve a software problem.

Thanks for all the answers. i'm hoping that it is the battery's problem. have done the full flash to factory out of the box state. still the same thing happens

We're not doubting you or anything, just cause a lot of people tend to flash the kernel only and not the eMMC and say it's a full flash. Well, good that it's working for you now.

any card I think works. The reason why they said supports 16GB SDHC cause during that time, that was all they had. Many have reported plugging in a 32GB one and works just fine

My N900 just went out of action..

Yesterday I think something was wrong with the eMMC,
All my QueenBeacon widgets arent functioning and Media player shows no music and video.
But I can still find stuff on eMMC using file manager.

Then today morning, my N900 cant boot up.
Press powerbutton, shows Nokia hands, then shut off by itself.

Darn.. sad.gif

Nope. No drop, nothing at all.
I think it's gonna need a Full reflash.

And this have to happen right before I go back to Hometown..
What am I going to do without my N900 on a 4 hour bus journey!?

Will do. Thanks for you concern smile.gif

Added on January 17, 2012, 6:07 pmFor some reason, the flasher is not working.

I am using Windows7.
Installed Flasher-3.5
Got the right firmware files
installed the Nokia Connectivity cable driver (or something like that)

I follow the frontpage method of reflashing my N900.
I connect my N900 to PC,
press U and got the USB logo at the corner of screen.(but strangely screen is not lit up)
when I type the command : -F R.bin -f -R
press enter, and.. nothing happens?

Hmm....

Added on January 17, 2012, 6:09 pmNote : It did work the last time I try it but using Windows XP.

Got my N900 fixed.
Turns out, the problem is that my memory space for application is nearly full.
Like, 95% full.
It was so bad that it apparently cause my N900 to unable to boot up.
and cant find all my music and video in the mediaplayer.

After I uninstalled some applications, free up space it was ok again.
Yay! Dont have to retire my N900! smile.gif
