how strange....what widget is running at the background??

I full charge at morning 8am, back home at 6pm, in the middle, small amount of angry birds, mail checking, FB around, some sms, back home still left around 30-40%. My wifi is on all the time at office to scan for incoming mail, widget for weather scanning every 4 hours

shouldn't be phone problem, must be something running at the background, try uninstalling things you don't use or suspicious but don't uninstall those dependencies tongue.gif

flashing is the last step, cause it takes time to reinstall everything back doh.gif

Tried searching TMO?

That's the only drawback from fMMS.But not a issue for unlimited data plan subscriber.Especially for DiGi subscriber brows.gif

Doubt the Pheonix software will work with Maemo device.
+1
*
searched TMO, no one care about chinese article, so no one ever ask about unable to read chinese document doh.gif

yeah, DIGI is great laugh.gif

Phoenix used by China there, they like to use it to flash phone, but over there, the rate of bricking phone is higher than here (2 only I remember)

im not sure of that... yesterday was my first day of using the fon.

when i went back, run navifirm, look for device RX-51, i found in the list that was the latest one. so i tried to flash to that one.

hi all again...since im new to these maemo fiasco thingy... i guess i will be asking alot of nooby question... please dont fire me k.

anyway, today everything works fine... except for 1 thing.... i dont here a sound from my wired handsfree....

tried using media player, the sound comes out from the fon speaker. tried calling in and out also the same.

using bluetooth handsfree to my car HU, it was fine.

does that a sign that maybe the fon jack is faulty? if so, how much to repair??? i like to use it to listen to music while doing my work... so i guess its pretty much important to me.
*
Not really, N900 is very very picky with type of headphone with mic, and there is a trick to plug in as well, not sure about the others, but mine cannot direct plug in, need to twist it in slowly halfway, check got any signal and finish push in, if not, pull it out and slowly plug and twist in again.

However those type with headphone only will not have problem by direct plug in, it can detect very fast.

Bluetooth seems to be the best solution for N900, but I heard some type of bluetooth model having problem detected by phone. sweat.gif

Just try play with programs in extras but careful what you install in extra-test and extra-develop, especially far the last one, it might brick your phone.

oh one thing with the enhance kernal you find on extras, don't install it before you more adapt with N900 brows.gif

Or maybe I would advice don't play with Enhanced Kernel unless you prepare for unexpected problems doh.gif
I give up playing with Enhanced Kernel doh.gif LOL
Safely using it better biggrin.gif
“Yes, a Jedi's strength flows from the Force. But beware of the dark side. Anger, fear, aggression; the dark side of the Force are they. Easily they flow, quick to join you in a fight. Sooner or later you have to hand on Enhance kernel, there are many fun things with it, from overclocking to HEN and not to mention Nitroid wink.gif

Docs To Go Premium - if you're willing to pay for it

For Free - Freoffice or Koffice (either name) it has slightly limited but still editable spreadsheets, docs, and ppts...

Abiword - Free doc editor and very comprehensive and almost debian like. Very nice. I prefer this to the Freoffice version... only sometimes there are some rendering issues when zooming.

Gnumeric - Free spreadsheet editor. Almost exactly like openoffice or excel. No complaints besides some lag issues.

Added on April 8, 2011, 7:59 amman... the HP pre 3 looks gorgeous.... what do you guys think?

just wondering.. worst come to worst... if i wrongly run a destructive cmd or running unstable apps... or toying with root or kernel etc, what will happened? will the phone simply brick? can it be recovered by flashing back the firmware?
*
99% just re-flash your phone will reset it back to factory default....unless you run some sinister program which cause permanent damage to the hardware shakehead.gif (such as overclock too high burn out the CPU)

You can fix messed up kernel aka reboot loop with simple kernel only flash. This won't delete any apps.
If this doesn't work then a full flashing is required. You'll need to reinstall every apps again.

PS:To those who pm-ed me to add their name to FP,I'll do so this Monday.Been extremely busy this sem.

I didn't pm you, add me to nice number tongue.gif

Erm, I don't know anything about Linux command. what's the different between root and sudo gainroot?
*
me neither, I just found that using root, you will gain root access and start at root path of N900, you can't change the path using cd, it is use for master command execution such as reboot. There might other use but I am no Linux master tongue.gif

sudo gainroot will only give you root access and start at the home directory where you can change path to execute file manually
