well i did try to do a window cut but it sucks.

now it is time to re-polish my skills.

u clamp it properly. than whack it like a mad-man using that hammer.
but before that, remember to make a grove on the bend. it helps to make tight bend.

i will do some guide when got chance.

just hit it with the hammer. but the clamping takes some time.

cutting and filling took whole day.
(BTW, when i say a day, it takes from morning 9am to 5pm non stop)

I have never have a good casing to refer some dimensional measurement

and if to refer to my current case
it's like making art out of a turd-the best you can make out of it is still a pile of $#!+...

I'll save this for some future mods

well.

i managed to dig out my ancient camera, an old nikon 3200 3.2 MegaPixel (ya, u heard it right nod.gif ). tongue.gif
unexpectedly, still working, always thought that it broken.

bought the battery and a small tripod.

i guess future picture will turn out better than current 5MP camera phone.

stay tune, and be surprise.

just started 2 month ago. yea. all the pieces need to be exact. error of millimeter will cause the piece to be unusable.

ya, it is aluminium, and thin sheet of it so it is not that hard.
just screw the screw into the hole drill a little slightly smaller than the screw. u may wan to put some lube . go thru the thread slowly.
u might wan to try on scrap before on the real thing.

been facing quite a few small problem.

1st is the hdd cage. (not enough space for it and the g5 air baffle /deflector in place)

2nd is the front IO cable. (not long enough for it to reach, i managed to burn a speaker by plugging in the wrong pin sad.gif )

before giving up or taking some rest form modding.
i managed to do some test fitting with some hardware.

hardware use will be going in the g5 case.

processor - intel i5 750
motherboard - asus p7p55d-e-pro
ram - corsair xms3 2x2 gb
graphic - gigabyte gtx 260+
psu - gigabyte odin gt 550w (not seen yet)
hdd - WD 808gb (not seen yet)

I would go for this one cause in my opinion,easier to remove the hdd then the second option
Second option will be pain in ass to remove HDD once you install it in vertical ish to the case

The cage will be hotswapp in order to be removed easily. The hdd eill be secure to the cage before installing the cage to the casing.

after 2 weeks of trying, 2 times failure.
i finally managed to secure the back io port.

some wired things on the LAN port.

i found out it is the magnetic coil inside the port. this made a great setback to the plan i had. we will see how it goes in the end.

thos who has sharp eye may notice that the atx cable is not plunged in, no harddisk, and the back 92mm x2 fan had not been installed.
all those will be fixed soon as i had to leave this project behind at my hometown.

after 2 trials with installing. finally get all the hardware to fit in. front connector giving a headache. manage to solve it. now is only the usb port. 2 out of 3 is not working. wired thing is one of the non working one is from the same port with the working one. wired rclxub.gif
