Banks in Singapore got such card but not in Malaysia unfortunately. Alternatively, open a USD savings account here. However, do take note of the applicable fees and charges applicable for maintaining a foreign currency savings account in Malaysia.

All the big 3 local banks (Maybank, CIMB Bank, Public Bank) offer such account. Foreign banks such as HSBC, OCBC, Standard Chartered, UOB and Citibank all offer such account too. However, i think none of them offer totally free foreign savings/current account in Malaysia. You can find out more in their respective websites.

Can anyone just call up those banks to ask instead of asking here and expecting answers?

Most of bank will have foreign currency account but they cant make debit card in USD currency billing (Assume FCA links with debit card like visa electron ). However, there was no USD currency CC in Malaysia too ...sad.

just use maybank visa debit card (linked to savings/current account). so far their exchange rate is the best.

let say, on 6-Apr, u withdraw paypal to the card, $100, u probably get rm305.56

then, on 13-Apr, u buy something online, $100, u probably will be charged rm308.89

(rate based on my own transaction using the card, on both date)

so +/- the diff only rm3.33

better than need to pay for fees opening usd debit card? somemore can withdraw it free at maybank atm smile.gif
