The official statement from press release by HTC :
Availability
The HTC Sensation will be broadly available through Vodafone across major European markets. It will also be available in Asian markets in Q2 2011.

So M'sia probably be in late Q2 - June 2011 ??

I'm just about want to get a HTC Incredible S, but now............................................... blink.gif

But bear in mind there will be at least a RM 500 to Rm 700 difference in price between the INcredible S and this Sensation. Now seriously reviewing my earlier option of waiting for Galaxy S II. The new HTC SEnse 3.0 is simply awesome

Get the Incredible S - you will not regret it. I am using it now while waiting for SGS S II. Price is OK, with AP sets going for only RM 1.5k only now. Buy it as a transition phone while waiting for the Sensation

Not so fast. The press release by HTC says Q2 2011 ( likely June ) for Asia - so I'd guess earliest for Msia will be early Q3 as Msia is often not being classified as Asia major market

If budget permit, this is definitely a better buy than HIS ; the price difference I estimate will be around RM 500 which is worth it

I do believe this HTC Sensation will be a success in its own way. Those who love a well designed and user friendly interface will be impressed by HTC Sense 3.0.

The reviewer make some comparisons with HTC Incredible S which I still feel is the best all rounder single core Android I have ever used beating the Xperia Arc, Galaxy S, Dell Streak, NexusOne ( I have used all these phones ). It is even a notch up ahead of the dual core Motorola Atrix except for browsing

Comparing it with SGS II is unavoidable. I will get the HTC Sensation and do a performance comparison with my SGS II. As of now the SGS II is the best and greatest Android I have used

Please DO IT. Will be most interested to know. Thinking similar lines as you but not willing to spend on new phone - maybe AP/or used set to do such comparisons with the SGS II

Just see which of your NEEDS not your wants is meet best . Do not join the Jones just because they said it is great. Write down all your needs in a list - give points to each based on what you know about the phone features - you will see the answer straightway. HTC users will say buy HTC and will give you 1001 reasons why you should not buy SGS II ; similarly same response for SGS II users

Use a high powered Android smartphone, learn how to manage your battery life. Sorry, there is no one quick solution yet. Battery technology has yet to keep up with the growing power of the chips.
If you are the " lazy" type like me and do not not wish to tinker much with the various settings/apps etc , get a spare battery ( I always have two ). And when I travel , I always have another portable battery pack/charger ( 4800mAH) in my bag with me

Another SGS II and Sensation user has posted a complete different opinion from irenic. He sold off his sensation after only 1 day as he found it to be a poorer phone on phone features. This user is also a gadget enthusiast, using many types of smartphones
So goes to show different people has different needs/perception. Both HTCS and SGS II has its own pros and cons.

agreed. and you guys give me headache as well... lol. now dunno what to get... hahaha... i'll probably spend 1 day to check both units when sgs2 is officially available.

i need my phone to be able to:
* 3G video calls (not using apps but normal voice call kinda thingy)
* take photos fast -- especially taking kids -- they run fast and current phone not fast enuff for them
* loud speakers
* ideally can watch 1080p movies smoothly
* play games! smile.gif
*
Only the SGS II can allow you to do video calls without any apps. SGS II will meet all your other requirements. So you have only one choice SGS II unless video calls is not so important

sorry, kinda new to all these hotspot thingy.

does the transformer need to be rooted to connect this way? i tot someone replied in the TF thread that stock OS won't allow TF to connect ad-hoc (or to a mobile hotspot)?
*
All Android Honeycomb tablets ( even XOOM ) cannot allow adhoc wifi - but this can easily overcome just be applying a patch to wpa supplicant file to hacve it adhoc enabled - google for solution at XDA

So far I know, only Galaxy S and Galaxy S II supports 3G video calls by default out of the box

Most other and HTC do not. You need 3rd party apps eg tango, Fring

ok bro benny..

i need ur opinion (pro and cons)

which one is better in term of all specs..

sensation or SGS2..
*
You will not get any correct answer . One do not buy just based on specs. If soley on specs - SGS II

I always say asking such questions is just like asking which is a better car : Civic or Corolla, Camry or Accord, BM or Benz ??

I'd say if you are a new Android user , go for the Sensation - it has a great/beautiful and user friendly UI
If you are familiar in Android and would like to get the extra mileage out of it - SGS II win hands down

Generally, you will not lose buying any of them unless your requirement is very specific, example one buyer needs 3G video calls out of box - in this case only SGS II will fit him

Screen protector just add in a psychological assurance of security
The gorilla glass will not be scratch with normal friction with keys, coins commonly found in pockets
UNless you force scratch it by dragging a knife deeply across it. Using even a ballpen and drag it across will not scratch it. Using a diamond will cut it and some had reported fine sands drag across will.
So decide on sp usage based on your own scenario
I do not use sp for more than a year already as my phones/tablets are always kept in closed cases

how to receive email instantly without having to OPEN my mailbox and REFRESH it...in that case i wouldnt know if i have incoming mail without checking it..defeats the purpose of push mail...please help

You want true push mail - buy a blackberry. You can always set notifications how to show you when you receive mail . i find this is a nuisance and I disabled it. However those who like such - you can set it. You will see short header clips scrolling at top of taskbar when mail comes in
