QUOTE(nazrul90 @ Mar 3 2011, 06:45 PM) that locking hand system is weak against heavy weapon... my old mg dont have that but still I feel that it's really something should be improve leh... rather than make it fix hand.. maybe the scythe is heavy thats why Bandai make them fixed hand instead? It makes me feels like I need to go buy some other replacement hand for DS.. If I were to get him in my collections |

Actually the peg mechanism are only suitable for weapons that have fixed area for the hands (rifles, bazookas for example have a fixed handle, while beam saber handle is not that long anyway, so peg mechanism is still viable). Deathscythe's scythe (and subsequently Shen Long's trident) has long handle; the hands could be positioned anywhere along the handle, so peg mechanism will just restrict the position.

agree. i think fully articulate fingers are a waste. couldn't be happier with fixed hands. the male peg does zilch to help in holding weapons..

wing series suits are already smaller than your standard gundams from UC.
to make individual movable fingers would mean much more smaller parts & fragile parts, thus more likely to break |

Although i have to admit, with fixed hands, some dynamic poses will not be possible especially when the MG DSH EW's forearm armors are so obstructive. Anything slightly heavier and it won't hold. MG Sinanju's bazooka, anyone? QUOTE(asuk @ Mar 3 2011, 06:34 PM) to make individual movable fingers would mean much more smaller parts & fragile parts, thus more likely to break Agreed. You see people whining about the RG's articulated fingers, and now they want articulated fingers on small-sized MGs. Doesn't make much sense, does it? -------- By the way, found an image of Epyon in the last thread. Modded Wing Ka. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(shauno @ Mar 3 2011, 06:27 PM) agree. i think fully articulate fingers are a waste. couldn't be happier with fixed hands. the male peg does zilch to help in holding weapons.. Actually they do help. The RX78 2.0's pegs holds the weapons very firmly, although the other MGs eg MKII's and even Zaku II 2.0's pegs are much easily worn out. Articulated fingers are nice gimmicks, and the F91/Xbone series had them despite their small size. If the weapons/accessories are heavy enough, even fixed hands can pop out or even break. |

Hi guys!
Posted this over at the VO thread, but it's lost in page5, and me being the last poster of that thread means no bumping that thread up, and I'm sure there are also Gundam/Mecha fans who'd like to hear this: Dr Watari had posted a survey which could very well be looked at for a new VO! It's in Japanese, but friends over at Oratan had a translation of it. Click here! Help revive VO! |
