I just finished To Kill A Mockingbird and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time.

I like To Kill A Mockingbird because it seems like a very heart-warming book with good natured characters. Scout's curiosity and innocence and Atticus is a paragon of morality. The characters are instantly likable and lessons can be learnt from the book.

I like The Curious Incident because the character is interesting, it's funny, it's sharp and it's a light read.

So, mind recommending me books that share any of these attributes (possessing likable and admirable characters, humorous, gripping and relatively light in nature).

I have no interest in reading heavy fiction or romance of any form and I would rather avoid 'heavy' books like Freedom. I mean 600 pages hardback is just going to take a lot of time and I don't have enough time to invest in such books. As for humor, I read The Finkler Question and the humor is as dry as the Sahara so please don't recommend such 'humorous' books.

But apart from that, anything goes. Hope to hear from you.

Until them, I'm onto my non-fictions biggrin.gif

Since you liked book with heart-warming story line and good lessons.
I'd like to suggest you The Gift by Cecelia Ahern, it's very heart-warming and the ending could make you
shed litres of tears... The moral lesson is about the importance of time and family. smile.gif
Romance is nowhere to be found in this novel.

Discworld. Start and end there. The only series of light fantasy you ever need.
