It's been a while since I watched Arsenal game. I did manage to catch up the CL game of Arsenal vs Barcelona this morning.

Seeing how much Arsenal has changed (with the exception of AW), it reminds me that football is an ever-changing game. A young team that AW assembled that able to trouble Barcelona plus a bigger and better Emirates stadium. It makes you wonder what Arsenal has been planning for the past decade.

Look back at us, we're just beginning our transition period. At least now with NESV, we dare to dream great things. Better and greater times are ahead of us. smile.gif (Never mind if I'm 40 by then)

Not sure if anybody has posted this, La Furia Roja's World Cup documentary:

If anybody is in doubt about Pepe's contributions in the dressing room, watch this!
It also made me feel sorry for Torres. All he wanted last season was to play in the World Cup.

Good videos there. Very Inspiring. Thanks for sharing. smile.gif

Gonna wake up at 2am and watch the game. Have a feeling that Liverpool will be playing great on this match. rclxm9.gif

A lot have been going on for the past 6 days even though we play no competitive game over this period. Such as emotional farewell for Suarez (that speaks a lot about his contribution and characters), our skipper Stevie G is edging closer to full fitness, Joe Cole is fit again, Andy Carroll is progressing ahead of schedule & Poulsen's new born baby. Hopefully these positive energies and good vibes (from Kuyt biggrin.gif ) could bring us more good performances on the pitch.

It's a reality check after yesterday game. All the hopes of getting into 4th place is gone. There're a lot more tougher teams for the remaining 10 games.

We'll just have to content with a 6th place finish and hoping a Europa title to get us into European qualification next season.

On yesterday match, tactical wise I think Liverpool could play better should we take a more positive and offensive approach, especially in the first half. It's a pain to watch when all we can do is just passing the balls among defenders at our own half.

Great performance and great atmosphere at Anfield. Perfect birthday gift for our King Kenny. smile.gif

For Carra's tackle on Nani, I watch the video few times. It's a dangerous tackle (leg breaking), if I was Nani I would be furious. But given it happens on Nani who like to dive, even his teammates are not convince of his injury at that moment.

QUOTE(nando @ Mar 8 2011, 02:06 PM)
to be honest, this is classic case of a biased headline.  The headlines are not what it seems.

It sounded like Holloway is questioning Torres' ability.
But the content is far from it.  Ian was just saying 50 million is a lot of money, for any player in the world.  but he did say Torres will be a good buy for Chelsea.

That is why sometimes i am weary of journalism.
Yes, we're happy with Suarez. And yes, i am hoping the goals by Suarez+AC will be many times more than relying on Torres alone.

But then, i think a Torres + Suarez partnership would have been tantalizing, although destiny wont allow it.

Only if Torres heart is still with Liverpool, we would have witness deadly strike force of Suarez + Torres. But a lot of good things has been happening since Torres left. Like King Kenny said, we have moved on.

nando, I guess u can change your avatar now. smile.gif

Sami Hyypia, no doubt about his contribution to the club. We've achieved a lot when he's with us.

No way Kyrgiakosis on par with Hyypia.

Don't get me wrong though. I'm not talking down on Soto, it's just that Hyypia is on a different level. smile.gif

Watched the game. Apart from the first 10 minutes, the rest is very very boring.

It's frustrating to see Carragher keep kicking long ball to Carroll while G. Johnson is on the right flank waiting for the short pass. We should have short pass our build up to opponent upper half and send some crosses into the box, but I don't see that happens through out the game.

Like Mourinho said, you need players with winner mentally in order to compete for top honours. Is not hard to see some of our players are lack of hunger and passion for the football they play and it's no secret that we're lacking creativity, or else there won't be so many speculations about bringing in wingers.

King Kenny is doing good job though for maintaining the team unity & morale by not criticizes individuals and taking up the blames for some below par performances. Let's hope the coaches are hard at work for honing the sharpness of our Suarez-Carroll strike force. 9 games left, we really need to start scoring.

Given our current situation, anything less than 6 points from the next 2 games would shatters the hope of finishing in 5th.
