Darn! Just as I was happy with my son's paed..he has resigned. Now I gotta look for one again...any recommendations? I'm staying in Wangsa Maju.

Hopefully I can find one today ...as I need to send my son to doc as he's down with cough and flu sad.gif

You can always follow your paed around - no need to stick to same hospital.

Unless he resigned being a paed and wants to change career or something...

Thanks Syd G..just found out he has moved to Pantai Hospital Ampang...hehehe..luckily he has FB...saw on his wall posts (surprisingly he didn't make his wall posts private)

It's a little far...but don't mind..just hope that the operational hours are like till 7pm (which I doubt) coz I have to go after work today.

Added on February 9, 2011, 11:47 amDarn..he's operational hours are from 930am -430pm..sad.gif Now need to find a backup. sigh..

don't waste time going to hospital paed. They are more expensive and the hours are bad. The waiting time is also excruciatingly long.

Just go for any of those clinical paed. They are much cheaper and hours more flexible. However, those famous ones will have lots of people.

Just drive around your area. Nowadays, it is easy to find paed clinics all around town.

Pricing is one thing..but i like my paed..as he's great with my son...he's funky and fun too! Makes visits less traumatizing.

Near my previous paed, has another paed on its own..but the hours are bad too..so..doesn't make a difference..and feedback from my neighbour..more expensive too..

My neighbour gave me another doc to go to at Melawti. I'll drive by and see if it's opened later after work.

My younger bro used to go to a paed along setapak..but parking is nil coz it's just along the main road sad.gif..and of all days..today they are only opened till 4pm.

Why are all the paeds timing are off??

My reply may be a little late, but I thought I would share with you a good paediatrician that I have come across. The paediatrician at Hospital Sungai Long, Cheras is pretty good. This hospital is opposite the UTAR campus and he runs a clinic there.

He is friendly and very good with children. He also won't give medication which is unnecessary and takes care to explain in detail about the treatment and diagnosis. Waiting time is not long and as the hospital is new everything there is clean and new. Overall, had a good experience there and would recommend him if you are around the area or are willing to travel there.

There is only one Paediatrician at the hospital and his consultation fee is RM50 for first visit and RM30 for follow-up.
