Hey everyone, we're NOT putting the dogs up for adoption. As the temporally caretakers of these two lost dogs, I'm confident that the owner is still out there looking for them. We are now still capable of looking after the dogs. However, for those who are concern, we would appreciate if you could help out by giving some sort of donation or any form of help for the dogs.

The Golden Retriever has ticks problem and the Terrier is in need of some grooming especially with the hot weather we have here.

Please help spread the word and find their owners...

Found at Shah Alam.
Was spotted sleeping and hanging around the playground on 4th February 2011.
Fed them and gave them shelter on 7th February 2011.
Currently is in Klang at my partner's house as my house is unable to occupy them.

They have no tags or collars.
They are well-trained and response to simple commands (sit, stay..)
They seemed to be potty trained as well.

Do contact me if you hear any news.

Update: Vet says no microchips on both dogs. Called up all local pet shops and vets around Shah Alam, Klang, Subang, SPCA and PAWS, and no reports of missing such dogs.

I'm very sure that they have loving owners as the vet also mentions that they were very well taken care of, especially the Golden Retriever as he has skin problems. Both dogs around 3-4 years old according to vet.

Update: New pictures.. Hopefully owner can recognize their cheerful face.

Check for microchip the size of a long grain rice under the skin of the shoulder blade area.
Looks like a silky terrier.

Just came back from vet. It seems both not exactly pure breed and no microchips on both of them. It seems they have been out for quite some time also. The GR has some skin problem and just help him catch one big kutu on his back.

the doctor was able to determine whether it's pure breed or not?

The Golden looks pretty pure to me. The other (terrier) looks a lot like a Silky, but with terriers it is sometimes harder to tell if there are 2 terriers mixed together. Not all Pure Breeds have Microchips, as not all breeders are responsible enough to register and chip their litters (or even start out with registered dogs in the first place in some cases) smile.gif.

Dunno. She said the terrier is definitely a mix and the GR might be slightly mix.

So far still haven't heard any news from the owner. Have called up vets and pet shops even up to Subang, Kota Kemuning and Klang.

I think the owner might have dump them. sad.gif
But then I doubt it, cause the vet also mentioned that the GR skin problem has been well taken care of. I don't think the owner who has taken such good care of his/her dogs will just dump them somewhere where they can't even find their home.

Both of them are very friendly and pretty much comfortable with our family now. Thinking of keeping them already. But still, hope that the owner will come to us and make the dogs happier. smile.gif

Hi Gavin, if still no sign of the owner by end of next week, I might be putting them up for adoption. Not confirm yet but I'll let you know. smile.gif
But the adoption is on some conditions:
1. They MUST be adopted together and live together.
2. The terrier must be kept inside as it requires much attention and needs a clean place so her fur won't get tangle up with whatever dirt and dust out there.
3. New owners must be dog lovers of course. Hopefully the new owners don't have other dogs already as these two will need lots of time to take care.
4. Prefer that the new owners have a bigger house compound so the dogs can move about, especially a compound with grass and garden cause the dogs do their business on grass only.
5. The new owners also have to pay slightly to cover the cost of treating the ticks problem for the dogs, the cost for the vet and grooming for the terrier when the two dogs were with us.

Your vet is interesting. The golden looks very much pure. My labrador is pure but ppl that look at her assume she's mixed. It's the breeding. Not all purebreds will look like carbon copies. When breeding is not controlled, especially in backyard breeders and millers, even in purebred lines they may not look exactly like those you see in dog shows or ads, but still are purebred. If your GR was mixed, it won't look like that for sure, unless mixed with lab or something similar.
