Editing Mpeg support on Adobe Premier CS5, Mpeg footages got no video when importe

hello, just wondering if those old timer have some idea how to settle my problem here
i imported a mpeg video into my premier cs5 but it only imported it as audio. how to deal with it?

Perhaps you haven't install the proper codec for the mpeg video.
What mpeg format is that? Mpeg1, 2 or h.264? If in HD perhaps you might need Pinnacle to convert it to AVI first.
You better use AVI because it is easier to work with it. Using mpeg format may have slow or black preview. CPU usage is lower in AVI and scrolling is a breeze.
